treble in 1999: E-D-F The cash position is likely to be 359-293=66, less 40m, = 26m Add 1.5 x ebitda of say 20m, so to invest over 50m. Property portfolio circa £100m per presentation, at net book value. Also, no one approached the company to buy the whole company. I think they are going to grow the numbers, so if 1700 customers equates to £18m ebitda, gross £96m, then adding £50m to property portfolio should add (???) 850 customers. EBITDA at worst £30m. Probably the 2018 target. If 25m sold for £377m, then could be worth £450 million, probably a lot more. 240p share price, plus dividends Thoughts anyone

treble in 1999: Two substantial sales at 11.40 and 15.31 delayed by market makers. How are they allowed to do this. Hopefully they paid that price in the knowledge that they'll make a nice profit on them come the announcement. Share price holding up a little. Here's hoping.

treble in 1999: No idea BB. Wow 400m. That pays off first 130m of debt. Leaves another 270m for new places. That means more profit, with the loss of 25m from adult side, where does that leave share price. 200p

darkcloudcover: Hi BtB and Treble, i've been reading your comments for a few months and interested to hear if you can help me. I too hold a position in CMBN (in at 54p), but I am VERY VERY new to the markets and investing and struggle reading how the rarer company events would affect stock price i.e. when this company gets split up and adults sold off, what happens to the share price? Does the value of adults get deducted from the current share price? So if the portion that is sold off is valued at 33% of the existing company as a whole, would the resulting share price for cmbn go say, down to 83p?? Obviously, cmbn would become either debt-free of very nearly so and would instantly be more attractive to investors thereby pushing the price up, but surely the current price would drop initially after the sale??? Please forgive my naivety, I'm just keen to exit whilst i'm still 125% up! ;-) I let greed get the better of me on a position in NYSE:FIT recently and ended up exiting DURING the slide rather than before it! hahahaha

boycie1: why did the directors buy shares just a few weeks back at three times times the current share price(not small amounts) if things are really that bleak?

boycie1: "Although today’s profit warning is disappointing, Cambian remains a highly profitable business with a bright future. As such, today’s share price fall appears to be an overreaction by the market and with Cambian trading on a price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio of just 7, it seems to be a strong buy for the long term."

eastbourne1982: Hi multibagger, Is most of the property freehold ?? Regarding being backed by private equity, I wouldn't read to much into that, I've seen private equity groups lose their shirts time and time again. Looking at their accounts again, year end 2014 showed ebitda of circa 49 million, sounds OK but ebitda is pretty meaningless, the pre tax loss was around 4 - 5 million, the October 2015 trading statement indicated ebitda would be not less than 54 million for the year to December 2015, at a wild guess this may come through as either a small pre tax loss or small pre tax profit, with a market cap of around 200 million and debts around 230 million this now looks pretty dodgy to me. To think this was valued at approaching 600 million a few months ago is madness and it shows the inefficiencies of the market. I stand by my previous comments, the market could unreasonably take the price back up towards £2, illogical imho based on the fundamentals or the company could go bust, I wouldn't totally rule this out as it has shown it struggles to make money, people will be fooled by ebitda and tempted by the share price fall (as I initially was) however when you dig deeper there are some big concerns here. All the best.

multibagger: The debt may appear high, but the company has real estate worth a lot more (£600m region if I recall correctly). The company is backed by Private Equity who apparently control over $2 billion - so I am not unduly worried about the funding sustainability. The services CMBN provide are social services/health services "business critical" and often have a statutory/legislative framework around the provision of care - so irrespective of cost, CMBN similar services will need to funded recurrently and over long time periods. This alone gives revenue visibility and price elasticity. No real alternative provision or competition on a scale / geographic footprint. The market sentiment will turn around in due course, but for the moment, I won't rule out a sub £1 share price - so keeping my powder dry. I won't be surprised with RNS of multiple Director buying / share buybacks / trading update with positive news......there is no fundamental reason that would justify the scale of the sell off. Good luck all :)

multibagger: The way this is dropping this could be sub £1...if there is no concerted attempt to shore up the share price. More Director buying would be welcome... I'm pretty sure that this low price will catch the attention of bargain hunters...

multibagger: Still struggling for the share price to move up and this situation is likely to remain so till there is a more optimistic trading update. Shame as it is a very sound and profitable business.
