16/6/2003 19:03 | I've bought a few k of these - definitely worth a punt. Plenty going on with its principal shareholder - Jubilee Investment Trust. | davew28
15/6/2003 22:41 | Is it worth a punt | charlton1
13/6/2003 18:24 | Whoops..sorry.. got the monetary amount and the number of shares mixed up! Let's try again. "Anyway now Cab have £96k in cash, Jubilee own 9,000,000 Cab shares worth around £270k but a lot less if disposed off in one go, and some soul has forked out £96k for 450k Jubilee shares... " (as far as Cabouchon is concerned, they have issued 9,000,000 shares for £96k ... i.e. around 1p / share, which sounds pretty dire) | vs
13/6/2003 18:19 | £96,075 (450,000 * 21.35p) ? | shamster
13/6/2003 18:04 | Interesting.. thanks | ivanleg
13/6/2003 17:54 | From previous news release. "Under the terms of the Placing, Cabouchon subscribed for 450,000 ordinary shares in Jubilee ("Jubilee Shares") at a price of 100p per share, which was settled by the issue to Jubilee of 9,000,000 new ordinary shares of Cabouchon at a price of 5p." So Cabouchon got 450k shares with a NOMINAL value of 100p, but no money exchanged hands - Jubilee ended up with 9 million Cabuchon shares. All this is just a fancy way of Cabouchon issuing its own shares for hard dosh. The reason for using this method is that it would have been impossible for them to issue 9m Cabouchon shares into a market which values them as next to worthless. Anyway now Cab have £400,000 cash, Jubilee own 9,000,000 Cab shares worth around £270k but a lot less if disposed off in one go, and some brave soul has forked out £400k for 450k Jubilee shares... and probably praying that Jubilee own more than just a bunch of Cab shares..... | vs
13/6/2003 16:13 | That's what I thought but my silly mate told me otherwise. I thought cabouchon got the shares at 100p though, so this sale still confuses me. | ivanleg
13/6/2003 16:02 | Don't be silly. It's Cabouchon who have sold shares in Jubilee. (Cabouchon got those shares in a fund raising, in exchange for its own shares.) | vs
13/6/2003 15:57 | Did anyone see today's report - it seems to suggest that Jubilee Investment trust sold 450,000 of these at 21.35p. If so, why is the current price just under 3p? Hmm..? | ivanleg

05/2/2002 11:16 | History After a extremely successful period between 1991-1996 the original Cabouchon Company built up annual sales of £54m,it was founded by Petra Doring. In 1998 it went into receivership due to lack of management and financial control. Subsequently Ms Doring no longer has any association with the new company, that Ms Wing has now formed. Current Trading The company is now updating its promotional material and the next collection is due to be launched in March 2002 which should kick start increased sales. Marketing Cabouchon has already signed consultants in 16 countries, with a high proportion of sales coming from the UK. The new Company and the new management team are setting out to give Cabouchon a fresh start with £0.5m of working capitial. With a low cash burn rate and a large proportion of the old top sales agents/consultants. High margins and low cost base are the key aspects of this concept that once generated annual audited sales of £54m. | fishcake
