Welsh assets are gone I think ..that cardiff Bay site was sold. I assume the share portfolio is in the books at market value and they never seem to make any money on it whatever the market or currency position. If we get anywhere near £3 I am gone that is for sure. I wouldn't trust them to invest the money better than I could!

me to, a nice profit- what about their Welsh assets? Africa could also start being profitable - and what about the share portfolio administered through their Bermuda company? £3 a share would not surprise me when Malta comes thru if it does...........dyor

They are not going to do that I don't think when they did a buy back of all small holders a few months ago. They only have 42 shareholders now I think. I remain mystified why they remain public but having discussed at length with Charles Bailey a few times he is committed to it and says he is committed to increasing shareholder value. Given that apart from some spike about 7 years ago they are at an all time high I am glad I gave them the benefit of the doubt !! I can only see the new appointment and his purchase as good news.

A new non exec with a biggish holding outside the family - the only way to get this company going as a plc is to release shares on to the market by reducing the company family domination - i.e. to create a market based upon performance and prospects. Don't think a tip sheet is likely until there are shares for trading. However from we small shareholders view there is much hope - lots of assets still tucked away?

Good spot on the NAV figure ..that explains the price. I think that is a reasonable stab since Malta 2 is not done and he is trying to incentivise the guy

next week, possibly, if one of the 'spiv-sheets' decided to tip it ( only thing that seems to move AIM shares lately ). it seems counter-intuitive, though, to suggest we lesser mortals could get more for our shares than Mr Bailey !
it's interesting the deal's been done @ the nav ( £1.77 ) disclosed in the latest ( interim ) results implying they're worth at least that ( so some comfort for holders there ) but ignoring Malta '2' profit ? wonder why.

And remember, harrogate, that there are now probably less than 100 shareholders on the Register, so if any real buying appears then this could get really squeezy. Dare I suggest that we might see 200p by the end of the week!?

That all sounds very interesting. the guy they have brought on board is a heavy hitter it seems to me and has just spent £177,000 of his own money to get a stake. It looks to me as if they have serious plans for the money they have and that they see a real way to expand the assets ..maybe Tanzania. Hard to believe he has joined up unless Malta2 sale looks in the bag. I think amazingly we might be in for an interesting time.

Thanks for that ...maybe we can stay there as shareholders! Not sure why they are buying such a property ..is it residential? to let out ? to develop?

I agree but they have had lots of opporuntities to do this and haven't so I don't think they will now. I am now in profit for the first time in 6 years so could be worse !

What on earth are they doing as a plc with 40 dispirited shareholders? Why not buy them out as soon as Malta clarifies?

I am not sure who is going to sell. I understand that after the buyout ( which I agree was mean and a waste of time and money) they only have about 40 shareholders. If planning comes through for Malta2 and we get the money in the price will be at £2+ in the hope / expectation of a payout. If it doesn't we will go down from here !!

and looking at how the small shareholders have been treated here I just wonder.
The assets then would make the share 'value' around £3? Where will it go?

That may or may not be relevant since the price for Malta2 has been agreed. Our share price is dependent on 2 things
1) The planning coming through for the site
2) Them finally decided to give us some of the £25m+ they should have !!!
