14/2/2012 11:00 | This share will not move as there is no market - only a distribution will see any cash back to the small holders. | whilest2
08/2/2012 11:39 | So few small holders that I don't see any substantial rise in the share price as all those left after the deluge i.e. the capital 'reorganisation' will hold until there is some distribution, as there must be, as they will be awash with cash. | whilest2
05/2/2012 09:00 | Why indeed !! Same reason that we all invested ..in the hope that the value of the assets will find its way to us ! Of course a small sell doesn't mean they are selling all their holding so are "small holders" | harrogate
05/2/2012 08:35 | the last 3 weeks has seen more volume than ever in this stock. There have many 'auction' transactions. There is clearly a buyer operating, the question is why? Also we have seen the old small sell, surely all the small holders have been taken out on the buyback. | jahl frezi
19/1/2012 09:07 | Can sell in quantity above 132 at the moment, looks like many have decided to add and move above the 5000 shares mark. | royaloak
17/1/2012 14:15 | ansc. Certainly agree, this company has been run as and for the family - the latest bit of capital 'reorganisation' designed to reduce the number of outside shareholders, not that they have any power here. I am hanging on, as there will be so much money sloshing around when the Malta deal is confirmed that it is hard to think that none will get into the hands of the long suffering private shareholders | whilest2
17/1/2012 12:21 | Well, rightly or wrongly, just sold my last 2.5k so I'm finally out. Simply got tired of waiting and don't trust CB to put any money raised to good use ..... if it wasn't a family-run business, he'd have been out on his ear years ago. Good luck to all you long termers who've chosen to see 'it' through. I hope sincerely you get your just rewards in the end. | ansc
20/12/2011 13:45 | harrogate Tell him that in your e-mail. | whilest2
20/12/2011 12:01 | Harrogate - Thanks. Unbelievable that CB is so removed from reality as regards us 'minority'. Perhaps if he read this thread, instead of relying on so-called advice from his financial advisers, the penny might drop! | ansc
20/12/2011 11:50 | Thanks. Only the point about the Bermuda expenses I have raised on this bb - when a distribution is to be made?(I assume you have asked this one with the what new investment strategy) and how old Mrs Bailey will be before she is asked to retire. | whilest2
19/12/2011 18:38 | Hi. I raised a few questions I had with Charles Bailey. if you want me to email them and his reply please email me on brandon.b@ntlworld.c | harrogate
19/12/2011 12:20 | looks like some holders are topping up as the share price does not reflect the future NAV the point is how to get that value out of the dominating hand of the family. | whilest2
17/12/2011 11:24 | and if any of us can get to the meeting and tell them how they should look after their minority shareholders (the family have done ok with salaries and pensions) they should. Otherwise we should put our views in writing. I agree with Mesquida - the family have an agenda. By the way whay have we found out about the payments to the investment managers in the bermuda company handling the portfolio which made a loss last year of over £353,000. | whilest2
17/12/2011 11:06 | I have to say Mesquida you are a very positive individual!! Arden will be working on no such thing ..The Baileys will use the money on the travel businesses and "other investments"..maybe another set of lossmaking engineering businesses. I am sure if the second tranche of Malta money comes in there will be some sort of special dividend / capital payout but it will be smallish. Why would they not give out some of the £10m + they have now. I think anything else is cloud cuckoo land. I am totally baffled why they don't take it private.. | harrogate
16/12/2011 21:42 | If he wasn't a CC of his late farther he would of realised shareholder value a few yrs back from now - & sold out at the right price | euclid5
16/12/2011 17:48 | I have well more than 5,000. The only persons who could benefit from owning shares in this over 2/3rds owned company is one of the family. When the Malta deals are done this will be a (large) cash rich company. The only thing is to hang on and hope there will be a distribution - no one could take over this company even if foolish enough to want to. | whilest2
16/12/2011 17:23 | Mind your eye if you deal (especially in certificated form) early in January: although the last date for dealing in the old shares is 20 January, the timetable adds that all transfers must be settled by this date to qualify for the Consolidation. | coolen
16/12/2011 16:16 | I can understand your frustration whilest2, but you would be wrong to assume that there are no buyers around for this stock. In point of fact there has been a very consistent buyer operating here over the past two months. He has been very careful not to force the price but whenever a decent sized lump has been on offer he has taken it. I assume from your stance that you perhaps have less than 5000 shares. Have you thought about buying a few more so as to bring your holding up to the required threshold? There is currently a window of opportunity to do just that, but it will not be open for long! | mesquida
16/12/2011 16:08 | Waste of breath - train fare- time | whilest2
16/12/2011 15:51 | If there's an EGM for this scheme, my suggestion to a holder would be to attend and to try and squeeze a dividend prediction out of Mr Scrooge...er sorry, Mr. Bailey. Given the recent cash inflow, there hasn't been as good an opportunity for many a moon. | coolen
16/12/2011 15:48 | and what a mirage - the share price this morning without any dealings at one time dropped 1.5%. Just think where it would go if someone sold their 4,999 shares? ugh! | whilest2
16/12/2011 15:45 | harrogate Yes. And remember all that blah about increasing shareholder value. I too bought at a highish price - it is not the company's great skill that got the price where it is - just picking what was a not very wonderful investment in Malta at the time and getting lucky. Do you recall the terms of the last capital re-organisation? | whilest2
16/12/2011 15:42 | it should not take 3 yrs to sort this out - as i said it's run like a provate co & their interests are not aligned with the shareholders | euclid5
16/12/2011 15:38 | That is what I am saying..there is not going to be a Malta dividend for us I am afraid | harrogate |
