21/4/2021 11:22 | Hola señor Maddox, Nothing new really. Bogart presents well and took his usual politically shrewd approach to questions. A lot of the slides were straight from the annual report. He did mention that he didn't think they could have made the new debt issue without the US listing - thinks 200m is hard to come by in the UK let alone 400m and the coupon was lower than it would have been here . He said the JV with the SWF definitely isn't exclusive and that they could do other JVs if they wanted. Reitterated that BURs view is that when can continue to deploy large amounts of capital at good returns that will be their objective rather than any attempts to be net cash positive. Dividend policy is to try to hold at current levels (implication seemed to be that meant without increases), despite volitity of cash flows. Obviously said he couldn't comment about ongoing litigation when pressed on Petersen. When he was directly asked what management was doing to address the disconnect between value and share price he thankfully said that the market does what it does and the board is concerned with having the business perform as well as it can and growing at "moderate but desirable" rate. Belief is that those two things will eventually be reflected in share price. Reitterated that BUR employees all agree there is a valuation gap and are buying. In time hope the market will address it. Will be having a capital markets day later in the year. | 1aconic

21/4/2021 09:47 | Yes, this is the start of a great ride. I saw it go from the eqivalent of USD 6 to 10+, which is still extremely cheap. I can see BUR being valued at 30 bn. BUR retains a 61.25% share of Peterson which alone could yield up to USD 8bn. Withe the rest of the investments I think this valuation is possible, once the market notices. Price to book should be like 3 for a growing business with exceptional returns. Hence, a price of 130 USD/share seems fair. | lazg
21/4/2021 09:41 | Hi Amigos, unfortunately wasn't able to make the web presentation last night. Was there anything new since the results? Appreciate some more views on how Chris Bogart communicated the investment case? | maddox |
