Online marketing firm dealgroupmedia was expected to be confirmed as the company buying up rival IBNet as NMA went to press.

IBNet, the parent company of Webgravity, had its shares suspended from trading on AIM late last month after admitting that it was in takeover talks.

The firm issued, a statement saying that it had been approached by a company and was at an advanced stage of acquisition talks. The deal would count as a reverse takeover under stock market rules.

Since then there have been widespread rumours within the marketing industry that it is Deal Group it's negotiating with. Deal Group did not respond to calls asking to comment.

lots of companies divulge who they are in talks with
millfield-inter-alliance,for one
you hear rumours every day about take-overs
zyzygy-aim,i can find you a list a mile long,
but maybe you are right on reverse takeovers,
as the other companies, bullion were in discussions
with were not mentioned either,
maybe its just mergers and bids,
you learn something every day,

Should at least double or triple from here if the acquired larger company has any good prospects. Resources stocks are on fire at the moment and it would be in everyones interest to get this reverse takeover done before any air comes out of the current bubble.

Regulators require it to be suspended if it rises over a certain amout prior to a document that will be sent to all shareholders informing them of the details of the deal. If the shares issued to take over the company are locked in for a year then this with its limited free float already will do well.

Can't see any reason why the company should have asked for trading to be suspended.

ok stevea got that,

Macca .......... BLO current position:

Shares in issue: 77.8m
Market price: 6.25p
Market Cap: £4.86m
NAV at 30/9/04: 2.5p/share, (possibly plus up to Rand 5m.)
Assets: £1.95m min, (plus possibly up to £0.44m)

I imagine the two sides will agree a price for the unlisted business and BLO will issue new shares to pay for the acquisition (some of which may be deferred or conditional). There is no point using any of BLO's cash in payment as that is one of the attractions for the company being considered as the prospective acquisition.

stevea,

what if the other company is not listed,
how does it work with the shares,
or any more info on the shares we hold

Greenspamster. A reverse takeover means that BLO is the smaller entity and the other party is the larger, in terms of assets. The combined operation will retain BLO's listing, but may have a name change, particularly if the business is nothing to do with gold ...... eg oil as was the expectation late last year.

they need to help seal deal,

possibility,becomes more of a probability,
