10/4/2017 15:20 | stewart64 - I most certainly do not underestimate anything and I would not 'big' anything up!! But to think the one and only factor affecting the share price is the pension deficit is fool hardy to say the least. Bye the way I suggest you read the last set of financials to understand the impact of the Italian accounting scandal......and also could you explain your comment 'great run business' given all the negative news coming out of BT? | toon1966
10/4/2017 15:15 | monty knows sweet fa. he from barcelona ... best filtered i think m | maurillac
10/4/2017 15:14 | Bears will close before the final figures, in a couple of weeks time, income investors will buy, I see a run up to 325p before the figures. Come on Woodford you know at this price you like BT for the income, lol | montyhedge
10/4/2017 14:43 | Prefer BT over Vod, BT growing div 20% over 2 years, then 6% after that. I think Vod will be lucky to maintain their dividend. | montyhedge
10/4/2017 14:36 | What's that monty - dividend up 10%!! WoW!!!! Where did you hear this? - and do you have a link? Are you sure you have your facts straight? When was all this announced? Thank the lord we all have you to reliably 'keep-us-in-the-loop Once again, my heart-felt thanks. | jenny tulwought
10/4/2017 14:28 | Final dividend up 10% that will be ok. | montyhedge
10/4/2017 14:26 | Sorry typo should be 325p lol. | montyhedge
10/4/2017 14:25 | We should be singing from the same hymn sheet....presumably you think 20% is an overreaction. toon. | stewart64
10/4/2017 14:25 | Should be 425p before finals in a couple of weeks time. | montyhedge
10/4/2017 14:18 | We are talking a known operating loss of half a billion compared to something unknowable much bigger. It will have little effect long term. If you are an investor why big something up which is less than 2% of market cap. | stewart64
10/4/2017 14:14 | stewart64 - the 'Italian job' was just small fry? Couple that with the profits warning in January resulted in a 20% fall in the share price Could you explain that please? | toon1966
10/4/2017 14:04 | I have been. And I think you underestimate the drag on the stock by the pension uncertainty. The best bit of news the company could receive is some headway being made on a reduction when the figures are releasedo..the price would fly.Uncertainty is a crippler, the Italian job is small beer. I'm not otherwise knocking a great company, just the pension issue shouls have not been allowed to fester. | stewart64
10/4/2017 13:27 | stewart64 - if you believe that the underperformance of the share price is simply down to the pension deficit then more the fool you. I agree it is an issue, but you also have to take into consideration regulatory issues, Italian accounting issues, profit warning(s), customer service issues, relentless press 'bashing' which all adds up to a lack of confidence in City brokers and analysts. As I've previously stated we need to hear some good news coming from the BT Board. Just out of interest are you an shareholder in BT Group? | toon1966
10/4/2017 12:51 | Toon 1966..meaning presumably that the shareholders have to be bribed with a fat dividend to keep the stock up. Meanwhile the elephant in the room gets ignored. Ok slashing dividends might be a bit overstated but may be a bit more focus on how they will address the problem. Can't see any other major issue holding shares back. | stewart64
10/4/2017 10:41 | ... iffin and ammin about taking another bite here at 13:00 .... | colonelgrim
10/4/2017 10:34 | Stewart64 - your comments are rather naïve to say the least..... | toon1966
10/4/2017 10:28 | What, for you Stewart, would constitute an "uncharted low"? | jenny tulwought
10/4/2017 09:45 | Rather annoying that BT just don't get their final salary pension deficit sorted once and for all, and may be these shares would fly. The business is good, the acquistion of EE a big plus for me; a great run business. Just bite the bullet and slash dividends for a few years. this uncertainty is killing the company, it could fall to uncharted lows at this rate. | stewart64
09/4/2017 08:07 | thank you Colonel, yes Geometry never a strong point of mine :) wllm | wllmherk
08/4/2017 16:49 | William, I think you mean , but yeh, mutley, chimp-boy of the first order! | colonelgrim
08/4/2017 08:48 | Back V-neck in the national he's a good jumper. | montyhedge
08/4/2017 07:21 | Do yourselves a favour and filter montyhedge. I have been trading shares for years and suspect he is either a child or an adult with mental health issues. His postings are always the same, he starts off either ramping a stock or warning of huge impending falls, he will then flip and do a 360 degree turn. I have him filtered so I don't know what he is posting on here. Follow his advice at your peril. wllm | wllmherk
07/4/2017 23:16 | Monty: Woodford follows your guidance . That's why he is such a successful fund manager. He bought back in for his new fund when he heard that you had turned from bear to bull . lol | harvester
07/4/2017 20:33 | "Ouch weel £2.00 odd next week, cheers for me" So K is that you stating it's not going below 200p in the next week ....lol | stockriser
07/4/2017 17:07 | Ouch weel £2.00 odd next week, cheers for me | kiltrock |
