Why not try my broker? I paid in a (small) cert. and they credited my account with £150!! Excellent brokers to boot! They'll even give you the cash for making just one trade. £12.50 flat rate dealing costs by internet OR phone. Well recommended.

GHARROP, it is up to you mate, but you try opening 'Selftrade' on AOL, (if you can!) i have been on the phone 10 times in the last fortnight because:-
A) could not get quote on ANY stock.
B)figures in my A/C completely WRONG!
C) funds NOT clearing.
D) 15 Minutes for 1 page to open.
E)Being put overdrawn by them not showing right amount in my trading A/C.......

shall i continue ????

Selftrade has just started being 'promoted' by Tesco for their clubcard members. So many points are awarded if you register with Selftrade and more when you start dealing. I assume Tesco have done their homework on this broker of whom I have heard both good and bad.

sure and belissimo1

You mightlike to try iDealing.

£10 flat fee for market orders.

£15 fee for orders to be worked (if executed).

Excellent on line trading with polite and efficient phone back up.

On numerous trades I have been given a slightly better execution than

the shown market price, (never worse).

I have no connection with them, merely a satisfied customer who now is

gradually closing out accounts held at Halifax,Barclays and a few ISA accounts

purely because of their high charges and little value for money in comparison.

Hope this helps.

Regards

CF

I am currently trading with TD Waterhouse and I have only just started to compare their prices and they now seem very expensive.
Do u get what u pay for in this trading game? On a 10k punt i am paying £42 a trade plus stamp duty! seems expensive huh?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Do all brokers offer a 10 day settlement period.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
