27/11/2007 18:21 | What a ride! I doubt we'll find another safe, consistent, high growth stock like BNH. Any suggestions on where we should invest our proceeds? Thanks. | ramu231
27/11/2007 12:27 | Likewise. They'll need regulatory approvals but can't see any competition issues so should go through reasonably quickly. | wjccghcc
27/11/2007 11:16 | Ron - yes. IMHO on present numbers it's a good deal, although given BNH's huge expansion potential, it's a good deal for Towergate as well! 16.5 x Book Value is vg I would say, and 29 x Annualised eps is more than OK, although forecasts seem to be non-existent, and Towergate are going to be reaping rewards not many years down the road. Why are several selling at 583 GBP?? Well, if you bought below £4 I guess there's not much difference between that and 605. However, the 60 days is up around 12 December, so it should all happen pretty soon. I for one will be accepting the offer. | jswjsw
27/11/2007 10:38 | Any comments on this take over? Sell now or wait for 605p? | ronmikeh
20/11/2007 12:21 | My condolences to his wife and children. A good and intelligent poster who will be missed. Have a good holiday Geovest - I'm hanging around to add some more - no rest until a trip to France before Christmas. | dan_dare
19/11/2007 17:36 | yes very sad, I remember the early days with this stock having discussions with him... thoughts are with the family. Geo, your right, a genuinly good guy... | supreme mo
19/11/2007 08:15 | I'm off on holiday for a few weeks. Hope to see a higher share price when I'm back around the 7th of Dec. | geovest
16/11/2007 21:38 | Very sad news indeed. I've always respected his views and he will be sadly missed. | geovest
16/11/2007 21:35 | That's really sad news Liars, don't know what to say, tragic leaving this life when you have small kiddies. Thanks for telling us all. | dreggspicker
15/11/2007 13:18 | My current view of the TA. free stock charts from www.advfn.com | dan_dare
14/11/2007 16:11 | ramu, the volume is too low to be significant, unless there are delayed trade announcements still to come. We'll have to wait and see. Happy with the share price though! ;-) | geovest
14/11/2007 15:48 | Geovest, 14 trades so far, it appears that buys outnumber sells 3 to 1. With BNH, this is more than usual - this level of activity must mean something is going on. Could be trading update or another bid. Personally, I suspect the latter. You cannot keep a good stock off the radar for too long. Whatever it is, this is good for the SP! | ramu231
14/11/2007 15:28 | Again, I tend to agree but that may not be how things pan out; we shall see! | kenlum
14/11/2007 14:58 | kenlum, I'd rather see the share price double over the next 2-3 years than a quick 20% profit. Remember, even at the current share price it is only trading on a forward PE of around 14 and I expect that the actuals will again exceed forecasts. Today's rise may be in anticipation of a trading update seeing that the half-year ended 31 October. | geovest
14/11/2007 14:28 | I tend to agree Dpicker but then everything has it's price and profit is never to be sneezed at! | kenlum
14/11/2007 14:03 | NO, No, please we don't need or want a bid, Grant has still got lots of things to pursue, on behalf of all the share holders !!!! | dreggspicker
14/11/2007 13:08 | I think this current level is a continuation of the rise following rumours of recent negotiations and probably discounts a good part of any increase on an a confirmed offer. | kenlum
14/11/2007 12:54 | I have 550 as my next resistance point by TA. | dan_dare
14/11/2007 12:41 | The price has been treading water, probably just the next spike up. If the market had wind of a confirmed bit this would have leapt by far more (unless the value of the bid was around the current level). We need to see a significant premium (40%+) to be worthy of any consideration, even then I am with Geovest in wishing them to continue rowing their own boat - we will no doubt see higher returns, over the long term, with the latter option. | lomax99
14/11/2007 12:21 | Why do you say that? | kenlum
14/11/2007 12:12 | Hopefully not! | geovest
14/11/2007 12:10 | Possibly to a confirmed bid!!!!!!!!!!!! | kenlum
14/11/2007 11:55 | Breakout, we have a new high. Let's see where it takes us this time. | geovest
08/11/2007 14:33 | Ramu, As far as I know MiFID will not change the reporting of large transactions, but I am not a specialist on MiFID. If any one else can give a difinitive answer, please reply. Otherwise you can always ask your broker. | geovest |
