Yes, I've seen it now, thanks. The market speculation must be you and me chatting on this board, and the clarification is very much what I expected. :-)

I wouldn't say there has been a retraction, but there has been an RNS clarification statement issued wrt raising additional capital. This is a consequence of 'market speculation'.

Glad to see they.ve printed a retraction today. Should help the price recover a bit

I seem to remember that they said something similar last year, M - but there was no capital raising, presumably because they didn't find a suitable acquisition. I suppose they are doing the right thing by telling the punters what they have in mind.

The comment on capital raising is disappointing only in that it will now hang over the shares until something more concrete is stated. The implication is that either there will be a placing or a rights issue and the prospect of either will hold things back until there is firm news.In reality its good news because it illlustrates growth but its a shame they felt the need to say something at this point when the plans were not further advanced.

they will probably drift back now even after good results.

Nice results - thought they must be due about now! I expect it's the threat of a capital raising that has affected the share price. Still a good hold, I'd say, although not terribly cheap after the good rise over the last two or three months.

Solid results. Some concerns re margins and capital raising but overall tone very good. IMHO Trust the management and hold for further developments

Well it did not get to 100p in 2004.
Now 95p on offer.
No longer hold the stock.

Well spotted, Jeff - missed that. Explains the uptick, of course. And if you read further down the RNS, you'll see that the finance director R. Gordon snapped up 25,000 shares too at the same price.

I think they're trying to tell us something - but we know it already. This is a very good little company growing at 12%+ per annum and yielding something approaching 5%. It is on a prospective PE for 2005 of 9.5x, and that's just too cheap.

Curses I was hoping to snaffle some of these @ approx 72p.....
had to pay 79p after the Director Dealing announcement.

Never mind David Cust buying 100k would seem to suggest the
future augurs well.

Moving up again now, as it ought to: now 78-80p.

Distinctly cheap now, and I've bought a few at 76p. I think this is one of those good small companies that tends to get overlooked for long periods, providing an opportunity for the astute investor (and even for the slow-on-the-uptake investor like me).

Excellent results today, much better than I expected. I notice the chairman now says that the capital position is strong enough to support further growth (implies that the rumoured rights issue is off for the moment). Dividend increase much less than the increase in ptp and eps again. No doubt they are hoarding cash for expansion.

Sold a lot of mine on the Robbie Burns spike, but they are definitely good value again now. I will hold the rest and am tempted to buy more. I really don't see them dropping to 63p after these results!
