Looking a little livelier this morning - it can't be long before we breakout.

Just grabbed another 1K@248p - I'm assuming that the property sale was not included in the forecast forward figures. Hopefully our pretty modest PER should be corrected quite significantly, albeit with a mind to the uncertainty over polymer costs.

Now that's a good signal.

Good news on the financing - on the inputs, it would be useful to get a handle on how much it's affecting the bottom line.

i agree, but i still think beside that they have been slow in getting there cost base under controll, which is clearly evident on the last figs..lets hope the record needle is not getting blunt in blaming the polymer input costs.and figures being cushioned by asset sales...

It would be reassuring to receive a positive update on the concerns previously voiced over polymer input costs - that's the one major uncertainty that's spoiling an otherwise solid performance.

What will be interesting who has bought the stock,as this is totally controlled by the scottish mafia,ie the inst shareholders list, this could be somebody wanting to build up a stake??just my thoughts.

I dont understand today's share price movements. Declared trades are a majority buys - possible large Sell order as yet undeclared.

Thanks guys. The IMS was certainly positive with the exception of concerns over rising input costs. We'll see what the next week brings.

Dip on relatively small volume so wouldn't worry. Look at chart and you will see this often happens with BPI due to high spreads.

many shares marked down on small selling as markets wobble!!
Feel this will drift lower till next update or positive change in market mood.

yes, I'm not sure that such vague statements help. But overall, things sound okay and the mkt seems happy i.e. share price stabilised on an otherwise turbulent day.

I agree, not sure what "earnings at the bottom end of expectations" means. Last year earnings before restructuring were 38.6p. At the interims this year they were 27p. I would have thought 35p - 40p would be about the range they refer to. With borrowings falling and this level of earnings the 4% dividend increase from the interim should be maintained making 11.4p for the year. All very modest ratings indeed

Tough out there currently, trading not easy and increasing raw material prices. However, it's good to see that the Management are doing a good job on the factors within their control. Hard to see this retracing much more.
