24/8/2007 09:51 | Has anyone a better brain than I. If so please would you work out the worth of Brightview. The cash they received from BT and their DM shares - dept = price per share. I think!!! £15.8m + £375,000 + £840,000 - £5.3m = £11.7m/44.8m shares in issue = a price per share of 26.1p If the cash is held in a high interest bearing account for a year at 5.5% = a price per share of 27.6p when the directors decide to give us our money back. | loganair
06/7/2007 18:34 | I would think a 10/20%premium from here at least | debbiegee

06/7/2007 07:43 | The Future If shareholders approve the disposal and immediately upon completion, the Board of Brightview plc intends to use #3.7 million of the proceeds to repay outstanding loan obligations and #1.6 million to settle other expenses. Following the transaction it is expected that Brightview plc will have cash resources of approximately #13.5 million. The Directors are therefore considering ways to maximise shareholder value, including a potential return of cash to shareholders, for which the Board intends to appoint Deloitte and Touche LLP to examine tax-efficient distribution mechanisms. The Board also intends to identify and acquire a UK company or business in the marketing and support services, media or telecoms sectors - areas in which the current business already operates (although certain activities are specifically excluded as a result of the disposal). The intention is that such a company or business would benefit from the additional managerial and capital input which Brightview will be able to provide and will be able to achieve rapid growth as a result. | dusseldorf

15/3/2007 10:04 | I can easily see Brightview share price being 35p by years end, looking for 41p to break-even. I averaged down and wished I had bought more than I did when the share price was under 10p, instead I listened to my dear wife who said I was just wasting our families money. Emotion won over my logic. | loganair

22/2/2007 13:54 | Just incase anyone may be interested, Invox (Brightview) sells The Winners Club to DM as a Loss making business and if the statement from DM is correct is now profitable and remains profitable. DM, the AIM listed direct marketing group specialising in database management and home gaming, announces that it has continued to show strong growth across all key activities and expects to report revenues and pre-tax profits ahead of market expectations following the close of its year-end on 31 December 2006. Additionally, The Winners Club Limited, which the Group acquired in October 2006 as a loss making business, reported a pre-tax profit for the first quarterly period of DM's ownership to 31 December 2006 and has remained profitable on a pre-tax basis in January 2007. | loganair
