They will have around 1.8p-2p per share in cash by my reckoning.

slong,

The corporate advisors will be looking at the potential deals. Don't forget that this was a Mike Edelson shell, and he is still heavily involved in "reversals".

There will only be a reverse if someone has the time to look at the possibilities, like I said Chief Exec wont and other two directors resigning, so who is actually going to action it?

slong,

Can't see them distributing the cash at all. The company will be used to reverse another one in.

I dont think there is any plan to invest the cash, the company will continue as a shell and return what is left to shareholders at the end of the year. The Chief Exec is going to be involved with SWL, the other two directors have resigned, who exactly is going to be looking at investment opportunities?

I guess that the company still has a bit of cash prior to the sale which should keep it going for a while but I doubt after all the expenses have been paid that there will be more than 900k to distribute to shareholders.

It will be interesting to see what level of cash they will have post the sale.

At 1.75p they only have a market cap of around £837K, which with a decent amount of cash, should make a good "shell".

I wonder if they had anything in mind, before they sold the the mobility businesses.

I've added/averaged down at these levels.

Perhaps our mystery accumulator of stock will show his hand!

Dont know who Neil Gormley is, I did a search on a few websites and all I found out that there is a Neil Gormley in a squash league and he is rubbish!

I have kept an eye on this stock for a few years, and at these levels it is a tempting proposition, you can basically gamble that the board know what they are doing and they will return some kind of value within a few years.

Like many other penny shares this one depends on how good the board is.

Anyone know who is Neil Gormley who has now holds 4,307,081 ordinary shares, representing 9.0 pct of capital.

He seems to have confidence in the copnay and be holding up the share price.

Why? Knowledge or opinions?

I strongly suspect that (having spent a considerable amount of time looking after an elderly person) that the majority of purchases are made - either by a carer on behalf or the aged person - or by a younger relative in conjunction with the senior. Please correct me if I am wrong. I am not sure if this has been taken into account in the trading structure -

Also if Shiloh could not make the shops work is there a position for a specialist chan in the UK?

Very different in France where a high percentage of the cost of "age related prodcts" is reinburced by the state provide you have a prescription from a doctor.

imo jury is still out on this coy.

Well the ironic thing is that the UK population 65+ is growing rapidly due to living longer & the age spread of UK people.Short term this company will struggle but if they can survive the next year or two things could recover markedly.

I think I will pop in again in 2006.

Guys get into ADL before results come out tomorrow or Friday! WHY? well because the price was sitting at 1.25p for some time before suddenly jumping to 2.125p at the end of last week. Today the MM's were willingly to take up to 150k shares off your hands at 2p - what does that tell you?? - they need shares urgently at this level because the're anticipating a sharp rise in the SP!!
Only 28 million shares on issue and a lot of those are tightly held. Expect a SHARP RISE over the next few days. DYOR etc.

Bright Futures Group PLC

Bright Futures Group
("Bright Futures Group" or the "Group")

Trading update

Bright Futures Group, the UK's largest specialist retailer of mobility products
for the elderly, announces that like for like sales for the first half of 2005
are expected to be approximately 21% down on the first half of 2004. This is due
to the general downturn in discretionary expenditure, in particular on mobility
scooters. As a consequence of the challenging trading environment and the
previously reported withdrawal from the wholesale market, our financial results
in 2005 are likely to be significantly below market expectations.

The Board has commenced an operational review of the business to identify
initiatives to improve the financial results of the Group. Despite the difficult
environment we are committed to our store opening plan, reflecting the positive
contribution made by our stores. The Group maintains a strong balance sheet and
cash position and the Board believes that these developments, including expected
cost efficiencies, will allow the Group to manage its resources effectively.

Hmm one to avoid I think.

"The Group is very cautious about the shorter term outlook in an increasingly
competitive retail environment. A proportion of our retail growth will be offset
by our non-core wholesale business withdrawal, which continues to be a very
competitive and low margin sector. As a consequence, the Group expects trading
to fall significantly short of current market expectations in 2005."

Glad I wasn't tempted to buy!

surprise, surprise they disappoint again.

Operating cash outflow was £200,000 so with about £600,000 in the bank we can give the company less than three years from today. And probably considerably less that that amount of time i.e. they could hit problems in one year if things continue to deteriorate.

I doubt anyone would provide further funding in the abscence of the firm proving its business model.

Another rubbish business listed on AIM.

Those who took up the placing must be fumming....

Doesn't reflect well on corporate Synergy or the company. I.e. they may well of known (not saying they did) of the problems developing at the time of the placing

Looked at Corporate Synergy's website and the small firms they raise money for all appear low quality concept businesses...

Interesting how Corporate Synergy say they are going great guns at the moment... (raising 40m) I'm sure that will soon dry up when they start to develop a bad reputation
