new highs....

Must have been a good AGM yesterday - I am sure BJU throw a good party.

Edit:
Looks to me like Mr Godfrey has finally cleared his holding as well so the overhang could well be now clear and progress can be made on the next leg up. £5 by end of year?

Oh Longo, you are such a wise and clever person!! I just love your self congratulatory clap trap. I'm here just to be altar of your investing wisdom and to enjoy your gratuitous offensiveness and to enjoy your Walter Mitty world.

As you appear to be entirely ignorant of the tenets of value investing, can I point you in the direction of Graham and Seth Klarman and you will discover that you are invested in a company with no competitive moat and no margin for safety and when the earnings decelarate, as they surely will, your so called 5 figure profits will evaporate quicker than water under a hot Saharan sun.

Moreover, if you cared to look you'll see that earnings and revenues rise at the same rate and means there is no operating leverage and leaves very exposed to a declining top line, especially given the company have a bespoke hr policy, which is very expensive and is the reason there is no gearing.

The basic premise is that they have a concept that no one can replicate. I can tell you that a as former social anthropologist these guys have just lifted stuff out of a bunch of interesting academic text books.

Billy Beane did he same at the Oakland As(check out Money Ball) and for two years the As were very successful. When the other franchises cottoned on to what they were doing, the competitive advantage disappeared and the Red Sox went on to win the World Series using the exact methodology. Beane changed the whole approach to recruiting baseball talent, just as BJU are changing the approach to market research but lacked the scale to really benefit.

History often does not repeat itself but it has a tendency to rhyme. I suspect that judging from your aggressive tone and refusal to address any of my comments other than to either dismisss them or be very rude that you are indeed a child in investing terms and emotionally.

Very funny Longo but this is momentum investing, which always ends in tears as it difficult to know when to get off. I am in fact quite old and have seen enough new new go go stocks to know what to avoid. If BJU disappeared tomorrow, no one would notice. Anyway, it's getting cold around here as I can feel the chilly winds of competition.

Oh Longo you are such a great investor. Can worship at your altar and may be some of your great investment ideas will also make me wealthy. I bought Apple at $20. Yeah sure.

Good luck Longo and carry on talking to yourself.

Another cracking set of results - pretty much inline with what they announced in January.

This really is the jewel in my portfolio: makes me proud to have an investment strategy rather than a "smelly" trader one - even though the latter can often give better short-term results - successful investments will always deliver brilliant long term gains.

All I have found is the "paid" research that is accessible from their website.

Edison never give price targets but talk in terms of what justifies the current price.

Shares are v.tightly held and institutions have only really been buying in from around the £2.40 level so I would say there are plenty of legs left in this though the company needs to continue to delight the market.

Good for a LTH and/or SIPP I would say. Unlikely to be a 10 bagger in a single year but good solid growth looks to be what they can offer: relative stability in an unstable world.

Also agree re Stephan Shakespeare. Unfortunately analysts - and probably bb posters - seem to judge the sector on YOU, probably because it is their UK surveys and polls that receive media coverage. When TOLUNA was quoted few even seemed to know the Company existed, or that their share price went UP during the 2008 bear market, and was finally taken private at 3 times their start price. Also they came to the market on a PE around 70 from memory! Nor did they realise that TOL was larger than YOU.

Eurovestech still hold a fair sized stake in TOL. It was a multi multi bagger for Eurovestech from their original £2 million stake. Their shares too are unloved and worth checking out as they are trading at a very large NAV discount despite buybacks.

So it's worth anyone making judgements about Brainjuicer based on the very poor recent YOU record, doing some more research. THEN come back if finding negatives.

I don't rate Stephan Shakespeare at all either and he rates himself rather higher than he should.

No doubt YouGov could deliver real shareholder value but in a business like Market Research you need to have leaders with foresight and from what I have seen BrainJuicer has that in bucket loads and very few of their listed competitors offer much for this changing world. That is why I'm invested here.

Markie.

Fair point. But the same applied to very highly rated Toluna. Toluna went private at an even higher price and proved a wonderful investment. YOU expanded far too fast with poor acquisitions.

Also note how well Brainjuicer's price held up during the very bad spell last year.

True that there is a lot of expectation from the market.

With YouGov they have all kinds of issues stemming from the way they grew - BrainJuicer seems to be a little bit more savvy in the way it is managing its growth: focusing on technology led productivity rather than blind takeovers and top-heavy management.

Fully expect this to be twice the size of YouGov in a couple of years time.

that sort of growth needs to be at expected, at this rating. one slip up and this is halving. check out the you gov chart for the last "hot thing" in research

Good set of trading results - 26% growth is very impressive.
With their Chinese and Brasilian outlets showing scope for more growth in years ahead.

Trading Update

BrainJuicer, the innovative, international online market research agency, has today released the following update on trading during its financial year ended 31 December 2011. The Company's preliminary results will be announced on 22 March 2012.

Trading during the seasonally important final quarter of the year was good. For the full year, revenue increased by some 26%, and exceeded GBP20m. As during the first half, progress for the year as a whole was fuelled primarily by continued growth in the US, where we extended our footprint by opening an office in Atlanta to add to our existing presence in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.

BrainJuicer also delivered further strong growth in Germany and Switzerland, while the recently established offices in China and Brazil, both important strategic markets, made encouraging progress in their first full year. The Company grew steadily in the UK, where it has its largest office, with revenue around 10% higher.

Profits have also moved ahead, and the Company expects operating profit for the year to be in line with market expectations. Cash generation was again strong: year-end cash was GBP3.6m, compared with GBP2.8m at end December 2010, with no debt.

The Company continues to build its reputation in the industry, winning six major awards over the last year, including the US based GreenBook's Industry Trends Report's "Most Innovative Agency" and Marketing Magazine's "Agency of the Year" award, both for the second year running. We are also continuing to expand the availability of our innovative solutions, having recently opened in Italy and with plans to open more offices in the future.

The Company can be found at www.brainjuicer.com.
