All looking good:

"This year the Group demonstrated that it can sign and deliver increasingly larger contracts with leading names in the commodity, energy and recycling sectors around the world. The successful implementation of our software with these major companies has resulted in record licence revenue, providing excellent earnings visibility. We have maintained our market leading position in Europe, and have established a strong presence globally. Over 30% of revenues now come from outside of Europe.

We now have diverse, global revenue streams, significantly improved earnings and cash generation that exceeded market expectations. We have also successfully transitioned clients to our Cloud Service, allowing us to offer a complete turnkey solution to clients while improving our operating margin, which exceeds 20%.

Brady is well placed to grow further, both organically, and by acquisition, thanks to a balance sheet dominated by cash. There is real momentum behind the business and we look forward to both keeping our shareholders informed of our progress, and rewarding them for their support with a progressive dividend that exceeds the market average."

Hi rivaldo, I need someone to take care of my BRY shares next week, while I am away. So I am entrusting you !Unfortunately missing the conference call, but someone else is covering for the CN, so should be a nice write up.Suffice to say, there has apparently been a lot of interest in speaking, so should keep the Directors busy.Hopefully it will also bode well for a forward pictureCheers H

A brief mention of BRY yesterday from the Private Punter FYI:

"ONE TO WATCH

Brady, the risk management and settlement solution business based here in the City, delivers its preliminary results next week.

The shares have performed well since I last took a look here in September of last year at 78p, now 92.5p a near 20% gain.

However, the company is now gaining traction and further positive news could bring about further gains."

I`ve got my eyes on another company you hold rivaldo, (ZYT) I`m hoping some folks get bored over the next month because it could be a quiet period for the share. I see a large market for them, hopefully they will drop down, so I can buy a stack.

I looked at bvm before I don`t like buying stocks with too much of a low cap, but saying that I can see the attraction.

And again :o))

igoe104, looks like financial stocks are in vogue with BRY and LRM both at new highs now. OT : have you looked at BVM - looks good value and in growth mode to me now.

Looking good now - next stop the 2012 peak of 105p or so?

Cheers wheeliedealer. It seems the market is beginning to latch on to XLM now as well as BRY.

Hi rivaldo,

re. post 1165, I have commented on the XLM board and on my Website. You are spot on, XLM has a huge Cash Pile - it makes the stock look pretty damned cheap really. There are obviously some risks to consider (as with any stock if you are analysing properly !!) but it does look interesting.

On BRY, I was Tweetering today (@wheeliedealer) that there appears to be a Bull Flag situation here - very nice. The simple logic is that if we get a Breakout from the 'Flag' bit then it should Run Up for the height of the 'Pole'- that is a lot of Upside. You will be surprised how often these things work.

Anyway, Good Luck to everyone !!

Cheers Gargoyle2, good interview. Can't ask for more really:

- high visibility for 2015
- great recurring income
- large cash pile
- good dividend cover
- global business with 40% of business outside of Europe
- first Korean deal, with major consumer electronics group - obviously LG!
- increasing deployment of cloud for faster and more efficient usage
- not cyclically correlated to commodities as used by traders and risk management

Wheeliedealer, good summary of the show, particularly re BRY, but please see the XLM thread re comments on that company :o))

Hi everyone,

I went to the Shares/Cenkos Tech thing in Islington yesterday and knocked up a Blog which covers the interesting companies that I spoke to. BRY is in there !! Check it out and have a nose around my website while you are there - you might like the pain of the experience...regards wd

tl; dr:
Do we know that they have a plan for this stage in the game? Buying everything to do with Metal / Energy is still the best plan? Where are sales? What is the state of the Group itself and how is the immediate outlook for shareholders who want to stay (mainly dividends) or leave (SP?) How do they entice more shareholders in the medium term?

I have reread the below and there is a lot more rambling than I would have wished. I just want to know if the consensus of the readers here believe that Brady have lost their way or are on the correct path.

Acquisitions go so far and no more. I haven't done any analysis, but did the companies bought bring wealth? I know they brought revenue but also costs; did Brady make it better in any way other than redundancies and economies of scale? You can buy extra seats at the table (If there are 8 vendors and I buy one out, then I am now either 2/8 or 1/7 but either way, I am in a stronger position) but does that make more sales and more profitable sales? You can buy a superior product but does that happen cost effectively? Do you get the better product and replace your existing one? Do you augment your existing one? Maybe your new one is "enterprise level" and you have more of a "SME level" offering so perhaps you can either learn from the acquisition or whatever?
What I am trying to say is that buying and buying and buying can only achieve a few things: reduced competition, replacement / improved software components. buying the client base, completely new product lines (such as SAI.) If Brady keep buying in the bulk / concentrate / refined / exchange traded metals arena then what more is there to do? When will they get the best combination of components? They have added Energy and recycling but how are they to be stitched together? Does that stitching work given the multinational aspect (GB / NO / CH / US don't have completely interchangeable work ethics and business practices?)

Money in the bank is only useful in so far as:
It boosts the share price by about 10 pence.
It allows small / medium purchases without going to the market
It makes the company more difficult to buy from any suitor (hostile or otherwise.)
It is something to shout about during interim / full year results if there is no substantive good news elsewhere.

I would personally be happier with a larger customer base within the existing products and greater profits in the group as a whole. Brady five years ago was in trouble because of being the size it was and the future jump from big fish / little pond to bigger fish / bigger pond. I think that the danger has gone from imploding during that move but this is not "mission accomplished" by any stretch. I think Brady should consider the position for the next few years and ensure that they have the most appropriate plan in place.
