Reinsurance premiums have gone through the roof. Contrary to reports that it is hard to place business, I have heard that it isn't that difficult. Add on top of that there are a number of new reinsurance co's starting this year & that "THE" area of growth this year has been stated as Non Marine American business..then you have pretty good upside.

I agree 100% but I was lucky as I got in early solely on the extremely unusual trading volmes - more in 2 days than in previous year- so can well understand my buddy will02p's reservations at this increased price.

I normally operate a stop profit of 15% and I'm above that already. It is always difficult knowing when to sell but the reason I havn't sold in this case is the lack of profit takers (only 350,000 this afternoon and none yesterday)

So I'm holding, at least until the 28th (Thanks for the info re the date).

The Buys are not your average retail investor taking a punt. Would you punt 1m shares in this stock ?
No nor would I. Yet today 2 x 1m BUYS & then look at the BIG trades yesterday.

I'm in and interested but it would be nice to know why the exceptional volume of trades yesterday and today.
Clearly not day traders as there is very little profit taking (yet).

The rise is probably due to the expectation of a good set of results.
The full benefits of the re-organisation should show in the year end figures on the 28th. Medium term, re-insurance premiums on the up will feed through to the bottom line.

some buys are being delayed. I should know mine hasn't shown up yet. When you see a 100K trade at 5.1875, it's not a sell, it's my buy.

for what it's worth to all of you. There isn't any news about in the Insurance Journals regarding BDK & there hasn't been for sometime. I know it's not much help, but the trade mags usually have news first prior to any other breaking news.

My guess is that it was a stock overhang which was cleared at a discount allowing the mms to ramp the price for the few they held on to, after selling on the bulk to an informed buyer..all imho natch!

I aree that the 4,750,000 trade does look like a sell but it

was a T trade and the price ticked up by 11% immediately after the transaction

was reported.

In my humble view it was a buy at a discount. Fingers crossed.

I have just bought 50000 at 5p and beiieve that only one MM is offering at 5p .
surely something is up??

I don't mean to be a killjoy, but aren't most of the trades sells? I've been in Bradstock for over a year now so I'm as keen as the next man for a positive move, but I don't exactly get a warm fuzzy feeling from seeing so many shares being sold!

Anyone got any info on these. They have large cash surplus according to Shares magazine however price seems very low at 2.3 P/E.

Yesterday (19th june) we saw 1000% above normal volume which amounted to 7million shares traded with a 10% increase in price. Again today the price is moving up. They announced that profits were up on reduced turnover....a nice feat if you can manage it, they also said that there could be an offer for the company ....merits a look I think!
