we meet again gdb!
well, results out today and dont make the most pleasant of reading but certainly some hope value in there. wonder who theyve got lined up as new boss? we know the difference a good name can make ie svb, numis. from here, i think its more likely to go up than down, at least in the longer term, but then i expect punters have been thinking that for a good few years!
looks as though theyve done a final clear up on the balance sheet? although i note note 13 re contingent liabilities.
what do you reckon. can they make a go of it. heard anything about them...?

- don't think you will get an answer here from anyone on the board !

- but I don't think that's you meant, rb2

Actually held some of these prior to their relisting but sold them due to lack of confidence in management when decision was made to transfer to Aim.

Have placed this in my monitor - the rot must stop somewhere surely.( in fact, I thought it probably had with the bit of decent volume at the end of May)

The scheme to consolidate the shares of Bradstock and to transfer from the official list to the Alternative Investment Market appears to have been a disaster for the shareholders. The equivalent price of the old shares is now less than 2p, which means the price of the shares has effectively halved since they were transferred from the official list. As a small shareholder, I have to ask the question, "What do the board think they were doing when they made this decision?"

LONDON (AFX) - Bradstock Group PLC slumped to a pretax pre-exceptional loss
in the full year and said it is to undergo a capital restructuring before
transferring from the Official List to AIM.
As a result it proposes to consolidate the existing ordinary shares into new
consolidated shares.
Under the scheme for every 25 existing ordinary shares, shareholders will
receive one consolidated share.
It added whilst the overall profit before tax for year to Sept 30 was 4.8
mln stg against loss 8.3 mln, the result was distorted principally by the
release of the existing provision of 7.4 mln for the Pension Scheme deficit.
For the continuing business there was a loss before exceptional items and tax of
2.2 mln stg against profit 0.6 mln.
Earnings per share were 7.1 pence against loss 10.3.
Loss per share before exceptionals was 3.8 pence against loss 0.3.
Referring to its transfer to AIM it added dealing will commence on the
market with effect from March 1 2003.
Referring to its trading prospects, it said the market is effectively
dominated by the severe lack of capacity particularly in certain specific
classes of business.
There have been substantial rate increases in the direct market but these
have yet to feed through in full to the reinsurance market.
Further there is a tendency for direct insurers to retain more of their
risks due to the very high levels of reinsurance premiums being quoted for low
level protection.

I think so, I've been watching this closely. Every few days there has been a trade of about this size - 2 X 200K and 1 X 500 K last week for example. There are only 76M shares in issue, so each 1M shares >1%

back to BDK.
Seen it trickle up lately & today there is a buy of 150K shares - okay not huge, but is this more of what this stock had before (stake building ?).

Hi

Welcome to what I am starting to believe is going to be a great income maker in the not to distant future. I got involved with CASHEVOLUTION not so long ago and already my team is building nicely.

As I am sure you have already read, it is quite simply a case of getting people to sign up through your website e.g. mine is WWW.VENUS.CASHEVOLUTION.COM and your team building begins. Its that simple. As I explain to everyone else this is a numbers game - the more people you tell of this system, the more that will join.

The easiest way to start is to explain this system to friends and family. These are the people who will obviously trust you most. Then it is a case of letting the rest of the world know. There are numerous free traffic building sites and classified ad sites which I will list in a minute. These will help you get started but the success rate through these sites is limited. So the more you subscribe to the better your chances. Then of course there is good old leafleting. Takes time, but again, costs next to nothing. I have also had car stickers made displaying my website address. Then of course there is newspaper advertising. Almost certainly the most successful form of advertising. But it costs. I am actually about to put an ad into one of my regional papers. I will let you know how successful it was. Another idea is to speak to your local news agent. For a small fee they may be happy to slip on of your leaflets into each of their papers prior to delivery.

I am sure you have now got the jist of what I am trying to say. TELL EVERYONE. So many people are fed up with their work these days, more and more people will be willing to give these ideas a go. Anyway here are those sites I promised:

Best of luck. Lets make this work.

Regards

Gavin

A 'B Austin' is a director of OAMPS - the Australian insurance co. I mentioned above. They have bought several insurance cos out this year already. Belgate pty
who have 15% of BDK shares also own 3% of OAMPS. My hunch (and only that) is that B Austin is the OAMPS director and that we will see a takeover of BDK by OAMPS sooner or later.
