LONDRES (Agefi-Dow Jones)--L'action BP (BP.LN) a clôturé en hausse de 3,7% à 471 pence vendredi à la Bourse de Londres, portées par des spéculations sur une éventuelle approche d'Exxon Mobil (XOM). Selon le quotidien londonien Evening Standard, ExxonMobil aurait sondé les principaux actionnaires de BP afin d'évaluer leur intérêt pour un éventuel rapprochement. Exxon et BP ont plusieurs actionnaires communs, dont BlackRock et Vanguard, ajoute le journal. BP s'inquiéterait d'une offre supérieure à 600 pence par action, soit près de 120 milliards de livres sterling (136,80 milliards d'euros) au total, précise le quotidien. BP a refusé de commenter et personne chez Exxon n'était disponible dans l'immédiat pour apporter un commentaire. A Wall Street, le titre Exxon recule de 0,2% à 81,49 dollars.
