we've gone the same way as japan, rates wont move over 1% for the next 10 years, we haven't got the financial muscle the american's got, we've got a super housing bubble supported by taxpayers money.

and don't forget the government is borrowing money to pay ppl welfare, being the nice nanny state we are. workers..who cares about them, we're slash there pensions in halve and make'em wait till 70+.

Good day Penycae

Ref Your BP purchase

I presume you had a rush of blood to the head following your return to the markets.

I look at the chart and it looks lack lustre following the start of year drop. OK for day trades but nothing else. Perhaps if the oil price moves back up monkey will be exonerated, in the meantime maybe put him on a less rich diet with more roughage.

Paying 7% why would they. Buy the shares at this price why grumble. Surely just pick them up at this price or cheaper. Happy Days, simplistic I know.

Dividend been 10c for 10 quarters now. I would hope that a small increase might be being contemplated in the near future :-) (maybe after a round 12 quarters ?)

Morning all.
I bought some of these yesterday (honest!) at 458.6. Trade is in profit, but the monkey says I should hold. Don't know what the little fella sees in the runes, but I'll stay with it.
Bought an equal amount of BT at the same time. Not doing so well there.

Trade well and prosper......

Bp. has been in the frame for so long as regards corporate action, it is likely to be sooner rather than later, has some great assets, the majors irrespective of the shale situation, are likely to consolidate again, and this one is pretty high up that list!

BP in talks to sell North Sea's biggest oil pipeline system to Ineos
Mar. 16, 2017 3:44 PM ET|About: BP p.l.c. (BP)|By: Carl Surran, SA News Editor

BP (BP +0.8%) says it is in talks with Ineos to sell the Forties pipeline system, the North Sea's largest and oldest oil pipeline system.

Both companies have confirmed the talks, which first emerged a year ago but were believed to have collapsed last summer amid a disagreement over how to price the assets.

The Forties system is made up of ~100 miles of pipeline and transports ~450K bbl/day of oil, the equivalent of 40% of the U.K.'s production from the North Sea.
