The horizontal blue line is at 495 and the middle red line at approx 460.

Good morning Bracke, so the blue line is at 490 and the red line is approx 430.
I can see a possibility of 490 but I do think for a drop to 430 bad news would have to be in the picture....if it does get to 430 I would be watching for a good time to
build my position back up as the dividend is too good to miss.

For those interested in charts

I expect a retrace to test the blue horizontal line and then at some point a drop to the middle red line or at least close to.

If you look at the header Bollinger chart when the price is out of the upper band it retraces back down...it is currently out of the upper Bollinger band...I think a price retrace is well overdue...

Who's got the balls to short bp from here back to almost 3 quid? Keep the short running. Also ukx could go to 7300 but why not short and hold for a major retrace back to say 6000 within the next year. Markets looking so toppy imo but I am a natural pessamist. Surely everything is rosy so do the exact opposite?

I presume we will see where the market is going after Mr Trump takes over.

Perhaps the real test for BP is whether OPEC & Co hold to their agreement.

I trust Penycae is back at work, don't want him slacking.

Good evening Bracke, yes the chart does show resistance about this level. But perhaps now the situaton is more positive for BP.
On todays indicators...MACD and slow stochastic they are showing IMO, a likelyhood of an advancment from here. I do hope I am correct in this because some old posters have been locked into BP for sometime around todays level. I have been quite fortunate to have driven my average down through persistant trading but am still looking for a revised target of 550 and even then would be ready to revise uowards again (or downwards).
Look forward to your continued posting on BP...and of course Penycae's when he is not working so hard to keep all us scroungers in luxury :-))
