Despair not optomistic it continues to hold above support at 440. A drop below 440 signals 412.

To be fair it did get to within a hairs breath of 500 twice in October but was repulsed and with no OPEC agreement in view the bears took over.

BP plc using EPIC/TICKER code LON:BP has had its stock rating noted as ‘Reiterates217; with the recommendation being set at ‘BUY’ this morning by analysts at HSBC. BP plc are listed in the Oil & Gas sector within UK Main Market. HSBC have set a target price of 540 GBX on its stock. This is indicating the analyst believes there is a potential upside of 19% from today’s opening price of 453.9 GBX. Over the last 30 and 90 trading days the company share price has decreased 40.55 points and increased 30.65 points respectively.

There is a gap lower down which occurred 28/29 September at 432.25 yet to be filled.

You will observe on the chart below that the share price was supported at the top of the range prior to the breakout.......and bang on the red ML.
