04/11/2016 12:04 | W1NDJAMMER, We can hope that the POO turns higher, then we will soon be back towards the fiver, unfortunately little progress being made in cutting back production as yet. | optomistic
04/11/2016 11:58 | well I said I would top up my long term holding at 450 actually got them at 446 lets see if that's the bottom started buying 3OIL as well, are we at the bottom of the channel or does WTI have further to fall their is support at 43 so maybe a bit more to come off....... WJ. | w1ndjammer
03/11/2016 18:50 | I am quite sure it will go lower ... but I hope it won't be a straight line. Sometimes it's better to buy xd, a weak share will generally drop more than the divvy paid. So, about 430p next Thursday 10/11?? Maybe. | younasm
03/11/2016 16:56 | hope it goes lower, better for the dividend, its been a 450 share for the last 7 years anyway. | hellscream
03/11/2016 16:51 | Throwing good money at this now -- added to long positions at 451.5pA 430-500p range into New Year would be perfect. | younasm
03/11/2016 14:54 | I'm looking to buy mid 440 ish before any run up to xd next week | supermarky
03/11/2016 10:50 | The strengthening GBP (or perhaps more generally a falling USD) is not helping here or RSD. | steve73
03/11/2016 10:11 | So much for the enthusiastic start this morning! | optomistic
02/11/2016 18:04 | Sold a call last week. | alphorn
02/11/2016 16:25 | Gone long again at 458p. X-div next Thursday 10/11/16. | younasm
02/11/2016 14:55 | Bp 500 looked way over priced for me given the poo. I'm waiting for a decent entry prior to xd date | supermarky
02/11/2016 14:53 | Sp weakness continues. Oil at/near bottom of the up channel from lows earlier in year. Lovely xd day coming v shortly for bp and rdsb. Uncertainty re Mr trump hitting US | supermarky

02/11/2016 10:42 | supermarky I use GKFX Meta Trader4. I use Meta Trader4 because the charts provide the tools I require. Brokers offer different shares, currencies, etc. If you search for Meta Trade 4 you will find several brokers you can then ascertain if they offer the shares/currencies you want. | bracke
02/11/2016 08:50 | Bracke, can I ask which site you use for your charting? Thanks in advance. | supermarky
01/11/2016 17:36 | tonio The site I use to draw charts does not offer BP.NY but if you go to Yahoo and use their charts to compare the two you will see that the price action is relative to each other. I note that the BP. share price has dropped below the first magenta line.....concern Trump may win!! | bracke
01/11/2016 17:24 | I've not much idea about charts. If you do the same analysis on BP:NYSE priced in dollars do you get the same predictions? | tonio
01/11/2016 16:34 | Price taken down more by the NYSE BP...now we've closed it will likely rise over there! | optomistic
01/11/2016 15:25 | Good afternoon Bracke. Thank you for the charts. I hope that the first pink support line holds or it's a way further to go. Re the oil chart, much the same with the green line. But with oil at the moment there are to many outside influenses on the oil price for a chart to give accurate guidance (IMO) For me the important thing is the continued payment of the divi with hope for capital growth in the future...and if the divi keeps growing the share price will eventually grow with it. | optomistic
01/11/2016 14:54 | Good day optomistic Here are a couple of charts for you to compare and consider BP. DAILY BRENT DAILY | bracke
01/11/2016 14:42 | strutt12, It is falling but it won't be falling forever! | optomistic
01/11/2016 14:13 | "By contrast, BP's stock fell by three percent as some analysts said its results were boosted by a one-off tax gain, meaning its longer-term profits and ability to pay dividends could still be at risk." That could well be true, but they are not facturing in the future increased profits and rising dividends that will come from the inevitable rise in the oil price. So many of the analysts views are compiled considering only part of the facts or potential future events. | optomistic
01/11/2016 10:38 | Shell's stocks rose by over 3 percent as it announced higher quarterly earnings than arch-rival U.S. Exxon Mobil , the world's largest listed company by output. Anglo-Dutch Shell is hoping to outgrow Exxon over the next few years after acquiring rival BG for $54 billion earlier this year.By contrast, BP's stock fell by three percent as some analysts said its results were boosted by a one-off tax gain, meaning its longer-term profits and ability to pay dividends could still be at risk. | robrah
01/11/2016 09:39 | I bought quite a few around 320p --- but it seemed very risky then and if you need to keep back some cash, you can't afford to gamble even if it looks cheap.I am just happy to see the monthly 30-50p price moves that allow me to trade long and short.I have no idea where this is going next, as long as we get large moves there is opportunity to take money from the markets. | younasm
01/11/2016 09:32 | agree gap to fill, always wished I had bought more at 325p now the story is improving will I get the chance at 450p WJ. | w1ndjammer |
