24/4/2015 15:52 | Added to my long position - doubt that oil can go lower. | alphorn
24/4/2015 14:53 | Afternoon bracke. Closed FTSE shorts on the 200EMA, so totally flat now. Got 59 points today, so weekly total is 399. Not going to tempt fate by going for the 400. Have a good weekend. | penycae
24/4/2015 12:29 | Good day Penycae 340 points is somewhat excessive. You will be causing upset and distress among the natives. Please bear in mind this is a BP thread and s/holders are unused to such large gains. A little more moderation please. I'm waiting for the Greek 'can kick' for the spike up and then we can all live happily ever after......... | bracke
24/4/2015 09:09 | Morning all. Chuckle brothers up early.... Dollar taking a hit this morning. Adding to FTSE short. Trade well and prosper Earthlings. | penycae
23/4/2015 23:22 | Night bracke! Good music helps the karma. 340 points to the good for the week at the close today. Switched off at 4.30. Just shorted FTSE overnight. Trade well and prosper...... | penycae
23/4/2015 17:58 | You did better than Lightnin'. He lost his money and his room. Mrs P would be most unhappy if you followed suit. | bracke
23/4/2015 17:19 | Evening all. Been a good week so far. Trade well and prosper....... | penycae
23/4/2015 11:54 | The report appears to be very good news for BP. BP has handled the GOM disaster extremely well and lets hope it will get some credit for behaving so well. We could look for a share price above £570 if the report gives BP the credit it deserves. | selborne_edge
22/4/2015 09:46 | sold my BP today a good run up from last Dec liabilities are a bit scary here, esp with the relatively low oil price and dividends don't look rock solid right now | spob
20/4/2015 10:45 | Morning all. Doing nicely here. Might be time to take a cable long. 1.4924. Just sayin'. Trade well and prosper....... | penycae
20/4/2015 07:29 | BBBC R4 had a report on BP just now. Unfortunately it was from some watermelon loony. The BBC is not fit for purpose. | dafrog
17/4/2015 12:16 | What's happening ere why is it still blue an ev else is red | stevenrevell
16/4/2015 18:11 | Will the two posters that ticked me down please PM or put your username here. You are both very lucky because i'm going to allow both of you blow me for free. | tradejunkie2
16/4/2015 12:02 | Afternoon all. corlis - that FTSE trade was down to the monkey. Did it on a "set and forget" basis, as it was quite a large position. Got my 20 points off the trade on the 2.30 candle. The real action on the FTSE was on the open today, but you'd have had to have left stuff on the table overnight with ridiculous stops to avoid the inevitable mugging. I've just closed some Euro longs which have paid this month's rent. The monkey got me into the trades just right. Staying flat now until the jobs data from Uncle Sam. Don't be put off by your post having been marked down. The chuckle brothers have something of a grudge against my monkey. I think they might be from Goldies, and secretly they want him back. The jobs data could change everything, but it looks as if the smart money might be moving out of equities, and also selling the dollar. As always, BP is a terrific indicator. That's why I haunt this thread. Trade well and prosper........ | penycae
16/4/2015 09:56 | BP : *BARCLAYS RAISES BP PRICE TARGET TO 560 (550) PENCE - 'OVERWEIGHT' | indianspan
15/4/2015 20:22 | Penycae that was very brave of you to go short on FTSE 100. I could see today just before yanks opened that both the FTSE & DOW would want to rise but the Germans weren't ready & would hold the other two back. | corlis
15/4/2015 13:50 | I'm getting a stiffy. Red tick if you want to blow me. | tradejunkie2
14/4/2015 13:56 | "Nice to see the chuckle brothers back in town." ==================== Yes. Strange as it may seem I was beginning to miss them. | bracke
14/4/2015 12:30 | Euro trade closed on that limit order, so out of that one. Tempted with a cable long, but I think I'll wait until Uncle Sam shows up. Short FTSE 7083. Got quite a big bet on that one, so stop at 20 over. Nice to see the chuckle brothers back in town. | penycae
14/4/2015 11:08 | Penycae Play your cards right with Mrs P and there maybe a drink or two in it for you. The US appears to be waiting for earnings information and pondering when the interest rate will change; June, September or 2017. Of course there is all the other 'stuff' Greece (the games being played), Election, Ukraine, etc, etc. "prevents me getting too brave with the stops". Yes, fatal that one. | bracke
14/4/2015 10:55 | Morning bracke! I've been chipping away this last couple of weeks, mostly CAC and Cable trades. Not holding any equities at the moment. Mrs. P has done well, she might be taking some off the table for now. The monkey reckons things are looking a bit toppy at the moment. Not predicting a huge crash, but there'll come a time when the boys want to take a break, so they can start over again. France is benefitting from QE. Still some way to go there, so been buying the dips. Got a limit on that Euro trade at 1.5078. Might take it off. Already turned down 10 points which I would have taken manually, but lately it's been paying to let things run. Good week last week, and actually took some cash out of the account - prevents me getting too brave with the stops. | penycae
14/4/2015 10:39 | Good day Penycae Calm before the storm? Sell in April/May and go away? There appear a number of current factors that can set the market running or perhaps it will be a new one. | bracke |
