Afternoon all! Just looking in to see what's occurin'
The monkey has resumed coverage of BP following a period of calm during which he has put me in the likes of BARC and MRW. Still holding more March sugar than Tate and Lyle, but that's another story.
Waiting for the planets to line up on the GBP. Diving in and out of the likes of POG and FRES while things settle here. TLW under the cosh today, so any drops here might be sector specific. Litigation over this spill likely to last years.
Trade we'll and prosper Earthlings.......

Ironhorse

There was an RNS this morning. Look at the other BP thread. MIATA has pointed me in the right direction to attempt to answer this question.

About time BP took legal action to get compensation from the companies and people that caused the disaster. Start with haliburton.

FFS Cameron, stand-up and protect a predominantly British interest. The French would do it. This is becoming an agent for state-sponsored welfare and non-linked local economic stimulus.

Even as BP (BP) faces potentially $90 billion in business economic loss claims for its oil spill, its stock continues to march to highs not seen before the spill itself in addition to dividends paid out. It's almost as the company has made no provision at all in regards to its economic loss claims.
