Share buybacks prop up the share price to allow insiders to exit.

Any more benefits?

The Russian plot just gets murkier. Rather than Lukoil making a bid for the company the Russians do what the Chinese have been doing to acquire precious metals companies in Australia and Africa, to name but two Continents., namely taking a controlling interest and replacing the Board. They can then simply make a token offer to existing shareholders and delist. The assets of the company are then sold on making the buyer a fortune.

To add that is what the existing management should have done.

Buying stock reduces cash pile and forces price up. I assume CO want the cash and to pay for stock at a lower price. I would think they look to sell assets and pay cash back to shareholders. In effect they buy the company for the cash held and sell assets to gain a profit. Not much downside and significant upside.

Might see CO increasing their stake yet. A bit of rebelling isn't a bad thing and they do own a decent chunk.

Not sure I understand the logic of stopping the buyback. Anybody explain?

No its not getting pummeled, its just the volatility has sparked. Nothing to loose at current price, if CO want my shares they can pay for them. Let them make an offer now

Look at LSE for comments on AGM. Nothing new, management not doing much and no agreement on anything. If CO canvas for votes given the voting at AGM I think they can force them out.

In the meantime the share price gets pummeled again. FFS - just when you think progress (SP wise) is being made.

Did anyone on here go to the AGM today? Comments/thoughts appreciated.

Looks like they voted against reelection of CEO and Chairman. Hold on to your seats. Action coming soon.

Looks like CO are getting serious and think we see more action to change management or see a takeover.

That is a long winded document to explain that the Company is on 'gardening leave' and because of that subdued activity was able to cut admin costs.

BLVN: No buyback yesterday make sense.
Now the buyback in back in motion.
Today should see a huge UT or after trade figure.
Back in motion from tomorrow guys.
I doubt that there are many shares for sell on the market, lol.
The buyback is working. Wait until we break 28p...

Must admit I hadn't seen THE letter until visiting the BLVN site to access the Presentation:

If the intention was to give some cover to Hart and seek to diminish the number of votes being cast against his re-election and that of Clarkson, then highly unlikely it has succeeded especially given the absence of any attempt to explain that $96.9m cash burn.
