Managed to exit at 942 this morning just before it plunged to 907p.

Case of selling ahead of update although BDEV update was good few believe the BVS mgt are in the same league it seems.

Friday it is then together with construction figures. Either (China notwithstanding)there is some dark secret in the fundamentals which is preventing BVS from reaching its share price potential or the MMs are simply trying to acquire stock by forcing the share price lower so that they will be ready for meeting demand on Friday following the likes of Galliford, Redrow et al. The metrics for BVS are better than those of GLE and I believe that this will eventually show the analysts to be on the right track. I still hold but have added recently.

Good to see another positive broker recommendation. Generally across them all they seem to be recommending a share price target between +30% to +60% from the current low levels. Bodes well if Bovis management can pull their fingers out!Regards,Source.

Awfully low volume today and made up of lots of small trades. Not sure why that is leading to the current 30p fall though. Regards,Source.

Good so see the start of a rally... Now moving with other property stocks and should now have a solid 3 months and seems a little undervalued

Agreed. Today was not nice but the forecasts still show good returns and value; the shares are not expensive. I`ve decided to wait for the full year figures and will hold until then.

From the last trading statement

In summary, David Ritchie, Chief Executive, commented:

"Bovis Homes is taking another step forward with its growth strategy in 2015. We continue to trade well supported by a strong market backdrop and have in place the required pipeline of sales to deliver our planned volume growth for the full year.

"The growth in volume and increase in sales prices are expected to deliver strong revenue growth and a capital turn in excess of one. Whilst our operating profit margin is now expected to be only marginally ahead of the prior year, the Group remains on track to deliver a further increase in return on capital employed in 2015.

"We continue to invest in high quality land, including the successful conversion of our valuable strategic land assets, and remain confident of delivering our strategy of growth in volumes and returns."

Not very inspiring today with sell-off in first hour not leading to many taking on board stock ahead of results.

Yes trytoeasy - Seems Bovis could hopefully be taken over to correct that as there seems to be quite a bit of value here in comparison to other builders.

Quite a pull-back this morning with BVS down from 997 to 971.5.

Think that is symptomatic of the overall market but must look cheap now.

Wow - huge rise by Berkeley of 10% now...Very positive statements about housebuilding for the next 3 years...Should rub off on Bovis.

(I'm also hoping they buy them out! ;)

Berkley up 7%+ today on great results...Certainly many things Bovis could learn form them...

Maybe worth sending to BVS CEO Ritchie to show him how to run a good operation! :)

Source.
