03/12/2015 08:56 | Nice to see this finally starting it's journey toward the £13 to £15 broker forecasts. Seems the big seller has gone and Bovis's fundamentals are getting traction again. Regards Source. | source
01/12/2015 11:47 | No harm done Dr.! | gp1948
01/12/2015 11:29 | Howdy guys, I didn't intend to upset anyone. Before reading any article, I look to know its source, with sponsors, advertorials etc so I know how much salt to add. I wasn't commenting on BVS at all, sorry if it read that way, just have a loathing for betting entities. Upon re-reading I see I've been a silly billy, the betfair in the link string is not part of the domain name (implying sponsored article), but part of article heading. I sincerely apologise. I must also have been half asleep. | dr_smith
01/12/2015 09:45 | Sorry gp didn't see your post - still half asleep!.DD | discodave4
01/12/2015 09:36 | Precisely my point DD | gp1948
01/12/2015 09:31 | DR SmithSorry but what has a separate report on Betfair got to do with the views of Jeffries on BVS?........nothing IMV.DD | discodave4
01/12/2015 09:08 | Hardly fair to judge BVS on the basis that another entirely separate company was mentioned in the same news article. | gp1948
01/12/2015 08:53 | Hi DD. As soon as I see 'betfair' in the link, my eyes glaze, they are an entity who wants volatility no doubt, and will thrive on it, so anything stated/sponsored by them is implicitly biased. IMO :-) | dr_smith
30/11/2015 19:54 | Citywire 30th Nov 2015hTTp://citywire. | discodave4
30/11/2015 17:01 | I just sold some at 951 that I paid 891 for a couple of weeks ago ; don't want to be greedy. Holding the rest for long term. | wad collector
30/11/2015 15:11 | All quiet on here today? Only 2.8% up so far. ;-) No doubt you lot are waiting for 5%+ before you break cover. OK still way down from the 1100-1200 we've recently seen, but it is Monday and it's going in the right direction, when we could easily have been seeing a 'correction', given the mini boost end of last week. | dr_smith
26/11/2015 22:48 | Gp,Agree, but doesn't warrant the brokers material downgrade in forecasts either IMV.......or the overreaction following the trading update.Overall it was scored as undervalued and there were some positives :-The company's year-on-year change in revenues and earnings are better than the median among its peer group.DD | discodave4
26/11/2015 19:56 | Interesting read, BVS UNDERVALUEDhTTp://ww | discodave4
25/11/2015 12:40 | About time he bought some ; appears to be the first purchase since he joined 2 yrs ago . Can't fault his timing of leaving his last job ; the now ailing Balfour Beattie. Mind you , he remains on boards of BAE , Cairn and a hospital group , so he is only a part-timer here. | wad collector
25/11/2015 09:20 | Seems the Bovis Chairmans share purchase was well timed! (& bet he wishes he'd got more!)Others here too seem to have timed the good news (tbc). Very silly for it to have got this low in the first place, but do think Bovis needs better management. Regards,Source. | source
25/11/2015 08:45 | Builders moved up between 2.5%-3.8% in fact BVS leading the group - so far !! | jdb2005
25/11/2015 08:35 | Jdb - "BVS should be at least 20% higher." Yes Currently 25.25% below 52 week high. FTSE is waaaaaay down from its 7000's. Wish I knew if there was an outflow of funds on macro view of FTSE, or whether it is purely POO coming down. (Sorry - Just re read the last 3 words - I mean it in the financial sense). Nice to start the day without the dreaded minus sign. | dr_smith
25/11/2015 07:50 | DD yes there is reference to House Builders in the BBC article: George Osborne is to set out government spending plans up to 2020 later, which will include billions of pounds in cuts but also new money for housebuilding. The Autumn Statement and Spending Review will detail £20bn of cuts to Whitehall budgets and £12bn to welfare. But the chancellor will pledge almost £7bn to make housebuilding a priority, with more than 400,000 "affordable homes" to be built in England. They certainly need encouragement as the slide in shares has been significant. BVS should be at least 20% higher. | jdb2005
24/11/2015 20:37 | Bovis Homes Group: Deutsche reiterates to buy. Target price: 1323.00p. Help to Buy ISA starts next week.Could be some positive news for house builders in the autumn statement tomorrow.DD | discodave4
24/11/2015 16:50 | Must bounce back soon !! | jdb2005
24/11/2015 15:21 | Not inspired by either rns - would like to see Directors much larger holdings. But maybe their wives are out spending their money (bonuses) | jdb2005
24/11/2015 14:47 | But the fact it seems his first purchase though seems a positive move. Regards,Source. | source
24/11/2015 14:11 | It is good, but a total holding circa £18k in total sounds low for the co chairman: rns: "Ian Tyler, Chairman....2,000" "Total holding following notification and total percentage holding following notification (any treasury shares should not be taken into account when calculating percentage) 2,000" and from bovis website: "Appointed non-executive Chairman on 29 November 2013" | dr_smith
24/11/2015 13:20 | Good purchase of shares by Chairman. Should help. Regards,Source. | source |
