Tá mé a dhuine áirithe, ba é an RNs 15.11.16 agus ba chóir é a bheith ina max de 12 seachtaine d'anailís a dhéanamh ar PL260 leis an nuacht druil Desert a leanúint go gairid tar éis!

I wonder where the bottom is this time! I can't understand why we take such a kick in on the share price at such low volumes! We have a very bright year ahead and this is an excellent time to top up! Massive buy with news due mid Feb and March!

Thanks again for your help Euclid. I have great hopes for PL186 and would hope BOD can grab some or all of BCL's share and do the drilling themselves.

It's up in the air until the administrator decides what will be done with BCL's assets and operations. We are told that discussions are in progress with the parties involved (and possibly others) and so we shall just have to wait and see.

Thanks euclid. Does that now mean as BCL did not spend the required amount re the farmin we revert to the 2013 position or is everything up in the air?

Euclid - Takes one to know one?

No - Got you there.
There was no gamble involved - least not one I was ever going to lose more than the spread on.

I placed a long and a short at the same time - it had to do one or the other closed one and made money the other way, stop-loss showed it had a purpose.

So even then no gamble.

Had to say I was rather proud of it at the time.

But invest in them!? No chance!

Yes, the work was not done since BCL is the operator.

"Though 10 prospecting licences are held by Maibwe, comprehensive work has been successfully carried out on PL 186. This work has managed to identify four diamond bearing kimberlite pipes forming a cluster within close proximity to each other. The pipes were identified through a series of ground-magnetic surveys at 50m spacing and 800m of diamond core drilling from which 305kg of sampled material returned diamonds. The work was carried out by Joint Venture partner BCL.

The four pipes have sizes 5ha, 6ha, 2ha and 1ha respectively, collectively summing up to more than 12ha of diamondiferous kimberlite material. These pipes are in close proximity to each other. The mineral chemistry shows the pipes have diamond compositions similar to the Orapa diamond composition.

Verification drilling is needed. The fall in commodity prices has made BCL heavily loss making and as a result BCL have been unable to undertake their agreed work programme. To date, BCL have been reluctant to dilute their interest by allowing outside investors to undertake the necessary work. BCL is now in provisional liquidation. Discussions are ongoing with the liquidator to allow a combination of Future Minerals/Siseko/BOD/others, to conduct the essential drilling to verify exactly what is in kimberlite GP 173 on PL 186."

Does anyone have any info on the LDD that was to commence shortly in May 16 on PL186 (RNS Number : 6667X) or are we to assume it did not happen because of the BCL upset?

Wexboy ,If BOD and it's current prospects were such a basket case why do you think James Campbell has just joined the company ? I think I would prefer to listen to his judgement and experience than yours .

2016 – The Great Irish Share Valuation Project (Part IV):

Company: Botswana Diamonds (BOD:LN)

Last TGISVP Post: Here

Market Cap: GBP 6.7 M

Price: GBP 1.975p

Welcome back to The Never-Ending John Teeling Story… I had previously tagged BOD as worthless, so I’m gobsmacked to see it worth more today, at least in terms of market cap (share price is actually lower, but the share count doubled). Nothing’s changed…just more reports of ALROSA geologists wandering around Botswana, taking samples & finding the odd 1mm (that’s not a typo!) micro-diamond here & there. Sure, an ALROSA JV is impressive, but I’m beginning to wonder if it’s really just a staff holiday scheme for their (probably) badly paid geologists…put in a week or two on safari in Botswana, then head down to Durban’s Golden Mile for an all-expenses-paid getaway! The only impressive news is the appointment of James Campbell as MD – his resume’s certainly exemplary, but it remains to be seen what he can do with something like BOD!? As for the company’s finances, they’re more appalling than ever – annual cash burn will likely exhaust cash on hand (less net payables) some time in H1-2017:

(GBP 0.5 M Cash – 0.1 M Net Payables – 0.6 M Annual Cash Burn) / 338 M Shares = Zero

Yup, once again, BOD’s obviously worthless – how they keep raising money is beyond me. It’s astonishing to think unrelated parties, i.e. the great unwashed, occasionally buy this stock. Have they ever looked at the price chart…what are they hoping for here, exactly?!

Price Target: Zero

Upside/(Downside): (100)%

Lots of decent trades the last few days! If we keep going like this the 50DMA will move through the 100DMA making us a nice little golden cross! That should start to pull in the charters in! What with plenty of good news on the horizon these prices won't be around long! Massive buy...... GLA
