06/11/2007 11:50 | Perhaps a tree shake. | moocow56
06/11/2007 11:45 | Another big drop today. This share was tipped only weeks ago. What has changed ? | lunanlodge
02/11/2007 08:04 | biggcl - Thanks. | sl33py
01/11/2007 08:19 | nobody's interested in property at the moment! | biggcl
01/11/2007 07:59 | Anyone got any idea why this keeps falling. | sl33py
26/9/2007 18:01 | Blimey some massive sells after the close! | gswredland
07/9/2007 21:42 | It's encouraging, doubtfire. It happens quite often. It means that there is someone in the market looking for stock, and there is none about. | diogenesj
07/9/2007 03:53 | There is something strange about today's fall, it's almost as if the market was expecting a cut in rates - it dropped like a stone after midday. The second thing I find strange is that my broker called me to see if I wanted to close my position. Why strange? i pay for a execution only service, thev'e never done it before. My conclusion for what's it's worth is that someone wants shares, but like i said it's never happened to me before so please feel free to comment. I could have sold for a small profit but I am holding. | d0ubtf1re
06/9/2007 15:40 | Thanks for that,i suppose patience is the name of the game. | sl33py
06/9/2007 14:43 | General weakness in property shares, I think - and property is a good part of the business. | diogenesj
06/9/2007 14:04 | those taking a quick profit from recent rise? | gswredland
06/9/2007 13:56 | A bit of a drop this afternoon,not too sure the reason why.Could it be a tree shake ? | sl33py
03/9/2007 21:06 | I have a few, which I bought before the split at about £5. Recent results looked OK to me, and I'm happy to hold. Family management, which over time has proved to be good. Prudent growth. | dcomd99
03/9/2007 20:59 | Hello is anyone out there? No? Just me a Robbie then "Boot H is one of them and has leapt up today, I still believe fair value is nearer 300p then 250" | carneddau
29/8/2007 15:01 | From NT website - "And I bought some more Boot H on results. These were brilliant results but of course the shares went down as shares often do on results. I just think these shares should be a lot higher so I actually bought on the weakness and added a further 2,000 shares in BHY at 231.23p. Target 270 stop 210. Boot's pretax profit jumped 62%, dividend is up more than 15% and the company looks very confident. What the hell it is doing down today I don't know. Maybe it's the subprime business but Boot isn't really affected by that. Whatever, I have a feeling value will come out soon enough and it'll head back up to the 280 area where it belongs at the very least in my opinion" | carneddau
29/8/2007 07:46 | Only negative I could find was (from income statement): "Trading profits after interest were lower at £8.8m (2006: £10.9m) resulting from the timing of land trading transactions compared with the previous year and a £0.5m increase in interest costs arising from the significant investments made within our property development pipeline." but overall looks very good to me.This type of business is always going to be "lumpy". | dcomd99
29/8/2007 07:42 | Boot(Henry Henry Boot H1 pretax profit jumps 62 pct, sees 'further rewards' in H2 LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Property developer and construction company Henry Boot PLC posted a 62 pct jump in pretax profit, and chairman John Reis said "further rewards (are) expected during the second half". For the first-half ended June 30, the group's pretax profit rose to 21.9 mln stg from 13.5 mln a year earlier, boosted by the completion and the group's first valuation of its Ayr Central Shopping Centre, while turnover fell to 47.1 mln stg from 50.7 mln. The chairman said "current financial market turbulence may have an impact on the timing of transactions and therefore profitability in the (second-half) period", but he reiterated that the group expects "profitability for the year to be biased towards the second half year". The company also announced a 16 pct hike in interim dividend to 1.25 pence per share versus a restated 1.08 pence last year. Great results, drop seems overdone or am i missing something. | sl33py
28/8/2007 21:00 | lets hope so, but the dow tanking will not help! | gswredland
28/8/2007 16:53 | Up 10p today in a falling market results tomorrow good luck everyone. | carneddau
28/8/2007 06:57 | tipped by the Naked trader on Friday - "Another oversold share for me has to be Boot (BHY) and I've bought 2,500 shares at 219.4p. Target 260 stop 200. As with other property shares it got slammed but unlike some of the others it's not quite recovered yet which seems unfair given excellent fundamentals. Well, I'll know one way or another whether this was a good buy quite soon as results are next week! I suspect these results will be top notch and will push the price up substantially in my opinion." | carneddau
16/8/2007 13:03 | 20,000 share buy at 221.9p at 10.05 this morning now showing, probably explains the tick-up. | diogenesj
16/8/2007 12:56 | Moocow56, Thats strange, 15th aug trades do not show any buying( on advfn), yet on digital look trades for 15th( cant get the correct figures now for 15th, only quess work from the intraday analysis) shows buys in the last hour worth, 25k,65k & 55k. Last night whilst on night shift I noticed the trades on digital look, didnt check here on advfn. | johnv
16/8/2007 10:20 | Probably means there's a big buy being filled in the background, which will be reported later. | diogenesj
16/8/2007 10:04 | johnv - looks like it's one of only a few companies that's share price have risen, when i looked at it's share dealing they were all sells, why would it's share price rise if they were all sells. | sl33py
16/8/2007 08:01 | johnv - where do you see a lot of buying? ADVFN trades show nearly all red sells | moocow56 |
