AND THIS IS WHAT WE'RE GONNA DO ABOUT IT (⌐■_`32;) & HELP THE PEOPLE OF KABWE OUT 웃❤2976;

BMR Group competes ISF Slag tests, Written by Global Slag staff, 03 October 2016

Zambia: BMR Group has finished laboratory scale test work on its imperial smelting furnace (ISF) slag dump at its Kabwe site. The company now intends to commission a study to convert its ISFS stockpile into a Joint Ore Reserves Committee (JORC) compliant resource. The site contains potentially 120,000t of zinc.

"These results are especially encouraging as they demonstrate the potential for BMR to extract a greater proportion of the in situ materials at Kabwe than previously anticipated for the benefit of our shareholders. We will therefore be commissioning a JORC survey of the ISF slag and will report the results of this survey to shareholders when available," said chairman Alex Borrelli.

Following the tests the company has announced that, in co-operation with Kupfermelt Metal Processing, its has reached a recovery of 85% zinc and 91% lead at a leach temperature of 80°C and 75% zinc and 80% lead at an ambient temperature. It has also more than halved its sulphuric acid consumption, compared to tests run in September 2015, to approximately 500kg/t. The sulphating acid brine leach process also recovered approximately 90% of the contained vanadium from the slag/leach plant residues (LPR) composite. The IFS slag potentially contains 9000t of vanadium which is expected to be recovered in the form of vanadium pentoxide.

BMR's metallurgical partner has advised that the proposed Kabwe processing plant can in due course be modified to incorporate a sulphating acid brine leach circuit to process the slag/LPR composite. The company's strategy remains however to treat first the wash plant tailings with the acid brine leach process.

In 4 years, well more likely 2021 we may have revenues of $250m+ if all goes as planned. A plant capable of taking 100 tph with Star Zinc to up the grade and cleaning up Kabwe at a rate of knots. That's 14% Zinc at the same yield and current price with a modicum of Lead, V and AG and G.

[7 Dec 2016, Quote] BMR - Buy – Target raised on clarification of production assumptions for Kabwe

BMR continues to advance its Kabwe project in Zambia and has provided some clarification of its production and operating assumptions for the new plant.

The company plans a three-phase approach to realising value from the various Kabwe tailings and residues. Phase 1 is processing Wash Plant tailings (WPT) at a rate of 40kt/a which is already in construction (to produce ~3.0kt/a Zn and 2.5kt/a Pb). The plan is for Phase 1a to double the plant size by the end of 2018, while adding in production from the high-grade Star Zinc ore, raising overall zinc production to 8-10kt/a Zn and leave Pb production unchanged. Phase 2 will be to process the Leach Plant Residues and the ISF slags in a new process line raising overall production to ~25kt/a Zn and 25kt/a Pb.

Capital Costs are expected to be low with Phases 1a and 2 funded from cash flow. Operating costs will initially be $120/t processed (with half the cost in low-cost, domestic Zambian sulphuric acid) before falling on a per tonne basis, with economies of scale as more ore is processed.

There is some slight risk in translating the process to a full-scale plant, but we believe that the risk is low and will be subsumed in the natural commissioning schedule as BMR learns how to achieve its targeted recoveries. We currently value the project purely on the Phase 1 production with upside to our target from Phase 1a and Phase 2 as BMR clarifies further its plans. Our analysis shows that BMR is undervalued on our risked DCF valuation (NPV10).

We maintain our recommendation at Buy with an increased Target Price of 27p (from 17p) on an increase in the proportion of zinc sold as higher-value Zinc Sulphate Heptahydrate and changes in US$ exchange rate.

[November 30, 2016] "Lead Poisoning In Kabwe, A Death Trap – Ngulube"

Kabwe Central Member of Parliament Tutwa Ngulube says the levels of Lead poisoning in the district have reached levels of being a death trap.

Kabwe Central MP, Mr Ngulube says Lead poisoning is now a major contributor to the high death rate in Kabwe town.

He says the people living near the closed Lead and Zinc Mine are dying every day and night owing to the high level of poisoning emanating from the mine dump.

In an interview with QTV News, Mr. Ngulube has expressed fear that if nothing is done about this situation especially during the rainy season; levels of contamination of the ground water will increase.

Mr. Ngulube says the people of Kabwe are concerned that despite the district being rated as the 10th most polluted town in the World, government seems to be slow in dealing with this issue.

He says people have resolved to take it upon themselves and clean up the mine dump if nothing is done come 2017 (>'-')>

Thanks Poom, I'm sorry you got caught there. I nearly did with Crown but I exited when it hit my target, fortunately. I was beginning to feel very uncomfortable. Let's hope for a successful conclusion here, well delivering a better environment for the long suffering locals would be a success, the icing on the cake would be a return here.

Fb as far as BMR goes I did make quite a few quid outside of my Sipp, and had fully sold out my major holding some time before the MA revelations. Where I then unfortunately moved onto Globo, which was a complete fraud and disappeared with £80m in cash overnight. Couldn't have made that one up. Made MA look like a choirboy.

This is such good news…

“Yesterday the City regulator, the Financial Conduct Authority, launched a surprise clampdown on the firms, and in particular a type of bet called a contract for difference (CFD).”[1]

These crooked brokers will now have to find a new way to mug its punters, and should help our markets to become much steadier, no longer shall we have to endure market ‘STOP-OUT’ criminality employed by these gypsies.

It should help steady our share price as well, no more orchestrated shorting of companies by foreign organisations, brilliant.

poom - you still here you old bear. Your whiskers must be as grey as ours by now LOL's

Best RNS ever from BMR in all it's shapes and sizes. This on my rough calcs using the conservative yields and no ZSH premium and no Vanadium will give at least 3p EPS in 2018. Just allow all to go to plan.

All the yesteryear hope, that turned to pain and anger, is now on the cusp of providing a fruitful harvest.

Having re-read this, the future looks bright IMHO; I hate these "jam-tomorrow" AIM stocks that promises riches just around the corner, only to then give another reason why that has been delayed.
BMR appears to be on the right track and if they can lock-in the commodity prices, we may actually have a company on AIM with an income stream (wow).
