04/5/2016 21:47 | Having sold out three years ago (after being suckered in many years before but sniffing a rat somewhere - couldn't quite pin down where) I was just passing by and looking in when lo ! I behold some old names I thought would by now have moved on to pastures new ! Does that mean BMR still has some allure ? Anyway. Much talk these days of the junk casino that AIM is said to have become. Judging by the quality of the posts on other boards, what I would say is its not that companies have passed their cremate-by date. Its that the average pi's knowledge of basic investment and share valuation principles has suffered from the cretinism of the late unlamented FSA in denying them access to institutional (as opposed to bucket shop) research, from which they might have learned a few tips (by reading between the lines of spin if they had the sense to do so)that might have helped saved their savings. Any thoughts ? | dozyduck

28/4/2016 07:49 | great Post Stav. Hope your well mate. | ljchandler
28/4/2016 07:07 | Worth posting twice Stav. I read it twice just to reassure myself that I was not the only one who believed that such an investment was both in a good cause and had the potential of reaping a reward for later life. I admit that I saw little to no complication in realising returns from Kabwe's rich tailings. That the community would benefit and that our board were reporting to standards and rules a financial market deserves. Naivety or cheated. A bit of both and a bitter taste. I'm now hoping AB will drive this project forward for the good of all. It seems the morally correct objective,in the circumstances, to atone for past misdemeanours and fulfill its obligations and promises. The righteous must succeed in order to make a better world. A few pence on retirement would also be welcomed. I'm not sure why AIM has deteriorated over the past few years into what one could describe as an illegal gambling den. It bolsters my irreverence to deregulation in financial markets. Always take away temptation with tough regulation or mitigate the human factor as much as possible, as there are those that will prey on weaknesses. I suppose we have seen it all over the last 10 years and BMR is just a reflection of that sad face of corruption and self indulgence. | fireball xl5
27/4/2016 22:35 | FB How true. I am pretty confident that just 10 of the major PIs, all laymen like me could have had BMR in production with the amounts they alone originally invested years ago. Just by using some common sense, we could have learnt on the way and instigated philanthropic work to boot, whilst producing and cleaning the Kabwe tailings by default, without all the other millions of PI investments that were squandered. The point is we never envisaged that a regulated AIM company that published accounts and regular vetted RNS's could have had a previous BOD that has been so irresponsible and inept and derelict in the execution of their duties. $1.4 billion in the Kabwe tailings alone was RNSed, never mind the Silver, rare earth metals Copper assets, and the World reknown Kabwe Mine. They were heady days, so full of hope, metal prices were rising daily and our leader had billionaires as friends, past experience as a metal trader, had the Chinese champing at the bit, and was philanthropic to boot. No wonder we were all so gung-ho, caught up in the story! When millions were sold at 4p when the share price price was 6P plus, during a large capital raising dilution (40p in today's terms), we all cried foul, if only we could see that value today hey? At the time, I was spending hours wondering how much of my future gains I should donate to good causes in Kabwe, whilst I wasted my days reading and posting on these BB's. Looking back. You could not make it up. What a roller coaster. Except QS and few others, We were all sold hook line and sinker. No point looking back, a hard lesson for most here, as PI's we were somehow all persuaded to get in way over our heads, we can only learn from that experience and watch proceedings unfold more carefully whilst hoping that fortune smiles on us. By all means give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar, but give to shareholders what is theirs by right. I say, Judge by results and reward on achievement. The Zinc, Lead and other material is still there, it is what happens next that counts. GLA! | stav5001
