26/2/2007 08:59 | Third highest riser on the whole market and there's only about five of us posting here philjeans! Imagine what would happen if this really got some attention.... Being third on the top risers list and all that director buying should bring BTR to a few more peeps' attention anyway. | rivaldo
26/2/2007 08:38 | This topped out last year at 22p and prospects look much, much better now! Plenty of headroom, especially when all the directors buy! | philjeans
26/2/2007 08:17 | Still time to get in there though on a m/c of 3m!! | philjeans
26/2/2007 08:16 | Nice rise already today - must be larger trades not reported yet. Looks like someone noticed Friday's director buying despite it being announced after the market close (couldn't they have embargoed it till this morning to announce?!). | rivaldo
25/2/2007 17:49 | Sounds like a yummy main course philjeans! You're right, I'd forgotten that Blue Star had already done work with Motorola and Becks before: With the Motorola connection apparently strengthening all the time and Becks (and Posh, perish the thought) looking to conquer America, the stage is set perfectly for a massive promo campaign over the next few months and years - maybe using the China office too. The News Corp expansion of its mobile content may not be the only reason for all the director buying then.... | rivaldo
25/2/2007 08:44 | Interesting Riv; but I think most have missed the potential over the pond. Last year BTR won a three year contract with Motorola to market David Beckham on mobiles throughout the globe. With Becks joining the LA team in the summer, BTR, with this deal sewn up and a US office now up and running, will undoubtedly gain a massive promotion or two in the states from Motorola for Becks which could keep momentum for a year or two! Although Becks may be waning over here, he is very much in the ascendency in the US, and elsewhere in the world! Plus, America is FULL of celebs, of course, and with mobile games; text competitions and celeb promotions, the US arm of Blue Star could well explode in the next few years. Food for thought? | philjeans
25/2/2007 08:16 | In case anyone missed it - isn't it interesting that after its publication a director has bought over 300,000 shares? "Thursday, February 15, 2007 Blue Star Mobile I met with the guys from Blue Star Mobile last week to catch up about recent developments. We worked together on a campaign for British Airways but haven't done anything together recently. They've done a lot of growing over the last year or so, opening small offices in the US and in China. I got them talking a bit about The Sun and their plans to increase the mobile content associated with their paper edition. There are plans, apparently, to use WAP pages and mobile video streaming to provide content via short code response and QR codes in the paper. I'm not too clear on what the timelines are and what the take up is likely to be but it sounds interesting." Nice article in today's Torygraph too showing how BTR's mobile and web markets are expanding and are the place to be: | rivaldo
24/2/2007 07:15 | Put it this way, that's the fourth director buy in BTR's H2, and the buying is getting bigger as the 31/3 year end approaches. Do you think the directors are confident the results will be good or what? For the record: "The Company was informed on 23 February 2007 that David Cromwell purchased 157,373 shares on 23 February at 13.25p per share. David Cromwell is now beneficially interested in 807,373 ordinary shares in the Company representing 2.73% of the Company's issued share capital." | rivaldo
23/2/2007 17:09 | Wonder if theres a large contract in the pipeline which co. expect to close. If it's not that then business in general must be strong. In any case excellent news. | mo123
23/2/2007 16:21 | Bought by Peter Cromwell again! Excellent news - love it when directors keep buying shares. Especially when they're right down here. | philjeans
23/2/2007 16:21 | Just bought 10000 at 13.5p a share because of director buy, (and because I was stalking the share anyway) | silent_angel
23/2/2007 16:20 | Making a late run for it.... | rivaldo
23/2/2007 13:42 | And 157k shares just reported as bought at 13.25p evidently cleared that overhang! | rivaldo
23/2/2007 11:08 | A 115,000 trade just through at 12p and the bid immediately ticks up - clearance of an overhang maybe? | rivaldo
21/2/2007 22:45 | Ta nick. You may be right about picking up stock post-results in general, but you might have to work hard to get BTR stock given the micro-cap status and low free float. Still, BTR is pretty well under most people's radar at present, so you might be alright. The director buys might alert a few newbies anyway, and it shouldn't take much interest to stir things up nicely. | rivaldo
21/2/2007 21:46 | Its my first purchase of BTR. I dont really know that much about the company. I just had a quick glance at the results and the director buying and thought it was worth a punt. Ill probably not do much with the position unless we get some contract news/wins or until results are out. I find its usually possible to pick up stock after results and still make decent money if they are any good. This position will at least keep me interested and hopefully prepare me to be able to react quickly to any future news. | nickcduk
21/2/2007 20:04 | Nick, is that your initial stake and are you planning on buying more? Hopefully we'll get some newspaper reports on the director buying tomorrow and over the next week or two to give things a bit of a push. | rivaldo
21/2/2007 11:54 | Yep, a small-ish free float should ensure that any interest gets well rewarded as it did in the previous rise up to 24p or so. On top of the three directors buying shares, don't forget the granting of options last September - always a good clue about expectations at a company. Nick, News International is a long-term client of BTR's and given the director buying I wouldn't expect any RNS for, say, a couple of weeks at the earliest, if at all. But any expansion of the existing contract should make a material difference to BTR's already decent revenue streams. | rivaldo
21/2/2007 11:34 | Well, that's the third director buying since December; augers VERY well for future results and share price. Still languishing on the bottom but not for long methinks............ | philjeans
21/2/2007 11:27 | I picked up the 10k selftrade would let me have at 13.5p. It will keep me interested as least. If we get a formal announcement regarding News International it could easily shoot up 20-30%. | nickcduk
21/2/2007 11:15 | Hello - this is getting interesting. More director buying, and a decent amount too: "The Company was informed on 21 February 2007 that David Cromwell purchased 150,000 shares on 20 February at 12.5p per share. David Cromwell is now beneficially interested in 650,000 ordinary shares in the Company representing 2.2% of the Company's issued share capital." | rivaldo
18/2/2007 19:02 | Not me NJP, just my news alert service. Good to see an adjusted profit of £23k in H1 and over £4m of annualised turnover. It shouldn't be difficult imo to at least double the present £3.5m m/cap with any good news and continued profitability in H2. Back to sleep now till the results in May I suspect without any further news, but if anyone wants to build a stake then the best time is in the quiet times like now - it'll be impossible after any news. | rivaldo
18/2/2007 07:56 | You certainly get your info from a wide spread of sources, riv! Well done. | njp
16/2/2007 10:14 | No wonder the price has been creeping up - this sounds like good news: "Thursday, February 15, 2007 Blue Star Mobile I met with the guys from Blue Star Mobile last week to catch up about recent developments. We worked together on a campaign for British Airways but haven't done anything together recently. They've done a lot of growing over the last year or so, opening small offices in the US and in China. 08/2/2007 12:43 | Hello - a sleeper stock awakes! Two days of rises - something happening for a change? | rivaldo |
