my spies tell me there maybe a trading update soon. is one due?

Very interesting company. Technology, partners and potential market size imply great possibility for share price growth. Other than wave zero website and RNS it seems hard to find much company info. Does anybody have any pointers towards more? Dead BB also a good sign! Level 2 extras show a large amount of stock in few hands. Has anybody spoken to the company?

According to comdirect site, BLS financial year end is 28 February. Let us know if you get a reply from BLS themselves. Certainly their investor relations bit is pretty spartan to non-existent. Hopefully the fact that they have around 100 sales staff is a sign that their priority is running the business rather than spending a lot of time talking to shareholders. I like that.

All it says is that the site is under construction, gives an email for Investor Relations and the wavezero link kindly posted by fieldbeans.

I have sent an email asking if they have a date for prelims. Will post if I get a reply.

Rumours in the press:

Independent 8 February
Block Shield held steady at 131.5p despite rumours that the company is close to winning a licensing deal for its technology from a US mobile phone company.

OFFERED for sale last May at 72p, Aim-quoted Block Shield gained 3p to a peak of 130½p as an overhang of stock was cleared. Broker Teather & Greenwood placed 1.2m shares with institutional clients at 124p. The maker of electromagnetic shields has already won production orders from Siemens Medical and Sun Microsystems in the US and hopes to make further inroads in what is a £1bn-plus market.

Strong demand from Institutions pushing this stock higher. The big boys are coming in with price targets well above current levels and are continuing to clear out the earlier investors. When that stock has been mopped up sit back and enjoy the ride as this company has got great technology in a fast growing market.

Thanks. More news on the RFID work from Block Shield would be useful. There is nothing on the WaveZero website about RFID. Perhaps we will get more at results time. 278p seems oddly specific. I wonder how they arrived at this valuation.

If we include conservative assumptions for RFID, the DCF value increases to 278p per share offering 134% upsde from current price. This still includes nothing for the other applications to which Block Shield's technology can be applied".
