had a quick look around...

"As of April 14, 2015, Burst Media LLC was acquired by RhythmOne, LLC."

RhythmOne execs:

Burst Media LLC and RhythmOne LLC are privately owned companies... Like LeadImpact, really difficult getting info about them...
Unlike our own plcs listed at Companies House...

My understanding was that GBO was passing money around via the subsidaries and it looked like the holding company was making a lot of money, whereas it was the subsidaries selling to each other...
Yes, it fooled the auditors...why, don't know, hopefully there is an investigation going on...

Yes, it was one of Barky's Banker Longs...more the fool him...

never understood that GBO business, how did they fool the auditors, was that not another of Barky's hot picks?

well good luck all for tomorrow, seems like deja vu all over again

the 50k buy was mine...will they/won't they rise tomorrow...currently, no intention of holding for too long...

I'd be careful wishing 1R list on Nasdaq...
Our shares are with Blinkx plc not the subsidary... they could sell any of their subsidaries, inc RhythmOne and we could find ourselves with a Blinkx plc shell and nothing to stop the Bod claiming that it's not worth to keep the plc listed on AIM, so delist it from AIM...
we'll be left with nothing...

Remember what happened to GBO.. they were moving money between their subsidaries.. the plc didn't have anything...

Blinkx (UK) Holding Ltd assets being = to Blinkx (UK2) Ltd liabilities seems too much of a coincidence to me...

Did anyone read this snippet in the last issue of Private Eye?

It seems to sum the BLNX prospects and business model:

"As advertising folk gear up for an inustry beano at Cannes Lions awards next month,less than positive rumblings are heard from the world of on-line advertising.

According to a report from Kalkis Research "the on-line advertising market is saturated and has no more room to grow....Ad placement companies have compensated by displaying ads on ever lower quality websites.....Online advertising efficiency has been decreasing for years.....A big chunk of ad spending is being stolen, plain and simple....[and]the expansion of online advertising is being done to the detriment of customers, in ever less productive campaigns"

LOL

Could have been about BLNX itself.

Do blinkx do positive? If Brian's on the mic then I don't expect it will be clear whatever they're up to.

Good luck for tomorrow. I think Blinkx shareholders are due a bit of respite from the last few years.

WheezeAgree. One big positive about Blinkx is that anything positive tomorrow will drive the share price substantially higher.

I've added...gamble on...Let's see if there's clarity tomorrow or more vagueness...will they, won't they go up tomorrow...will the house broker provide any insights...Will Tosca or RG add or reduce?Will they complete the Annual Returns..More questions than answers...

alex1621 - 16 May 2016 - 08:18 - 106526 of 106530 alex1621, I don't think there is anyone including Tosca who is not underwater on this. I am substantially down. There is a lot riding on the results tomorrow. OTTH, if the results are positive tomorrow, this could be like unleashing a coiled spring, in which case 'happy days'. Not for widows or orphans. There is a bit of a gamblers instinct in those who hold Blinkx ! Roll on Tuesday the 17th.

Nasdaq - a para below from a post I put on ii board about the topic. All on the presumption that a decent update tomorrow followed by some serious participation in investor conferences (as per a lot of their peers) arguing the blinkx (or hopefully "RhythmOne") investment case would get the market cap up significantly. So I'm arguing for a statement of intent to list on Nasdaq in the first instance, not a statement that they are listing on Nasdaq.

I would have thought blinkx could even aim for a premium "Nasdaq Global Select Market" listing, coming in under financial standard 4 ("Assets with Equity"). However, if it can't get the market cap to the required level, then one of the other listings should be possible. I don't see how the "minimum share price" can be a serious issue; a consolidation is not the most difficult of operations.

1gw, clarity on figures and outlook and an update from Numis & Citi...Don't want to see industry doing well..costs control..'transformational year'...I'm considering whether the risk/reward is worth it atm..maybe buy on rumour, sell on news???

What I would like to see tomorrow is:

o Full-year specific (i.e. actual numbers) guidance for FY17 showing positive adj EBITDA and revenue growth;
o More transparency with reconciliations between "core/non-core", "new/old" and "premium/conventional" plus some detail on what key non-core product lines and businesses have been closed down and what their revenue contribution was prior to closure;
o Announcement of share buyback to commence immediately;
o Announcement of corporate namechange to RhythmOne (even better would be if this were alongside announcement of intention to list on Nasdaq)

What I don't want to see tomorrow is:

o Another vague statement about aiming to return to profitability;
o New metrics added in, apparently only because they show a positive angle and without sufficient explanation of what they represent or reconciliation between the new metrics and older ones;
o No detail on what was closed down and what the impact on the numbers was.
