In the capital James met key Kenyan ministers and discussed how we will use all our UK Aid instruments to strengthen economic prosperity, security and stability and reduce the need for aid while building a mature political and economic partnership for the future.

Aid will now be channelled through the private sector and AGRICULTURE will be run as a profit making investment

This is a major "UK" investment with AFPO at the front

Never been anychance of paying the loan back early

CC when asked in January

"Will you be paying the loan off Early?"

"Why would we when any deals would dwarf any loans"

COMESA have alread stated that AFPO are trading and we also have a deal for the original 20K mt(inspected in Beira by Zambia)

It has always been about stalling until the FINANCE deal was launched

I hope CC and AFPO have a good lawyer to represent them to answer all these charges that the shareprophets are raising against themThey are becoming desperate as the inevitable is about to happen and it won't involve the FCA

"There’s no longer a dispute about the need for private sector involvement in development. The role of DFIs is to connect development aid with private investment, and explore how we can employ market forces in the world’s more challenging places."

Aid money will no longer just be handed over to His/Her Exellency but will be channelled through the "PRIVATE SECTOR" as in AFPO

July 21, 2016 :

"Over 500,000 tonnes of fertilisers is expected to be supplied to the COMESA region under the ACTESA/AFPO programme to support smallholder farmers to improve productivity for an initial period of 36 months, since the signing of the agreement in August 2015.

COMESA-ACTESA chief executive officer Argent Chuula said the first delivery of the fertiliser was on July 9 to 320 agro-dealers in Mkushi and Mumbwa.
He said each agro delivery is expected to serve about 20 farmers and the project will be replicated in other COMESA countries such as Malawi and Uganda, as soon as the ongoing negotiations are concluded.
Mr Chuula said about one million farmers in the region will access inputs through the ACTESA/AFPO programme within the next two years.
He said the demand for high performance fertiliser in the region is rising fast and needs to be addressed quickly with cost effective, quality and reliable supply.

“The importance and scale of this programme cannot be overstated"
