New lows in the US tonight - down 6%.

Let's hope the lows of 2003 hold - otherwise we could see some extra panic.

strong rise. just sent a check to blackrock last sat to top-up. and i am cynically wishing the prices to drop for a while now.

I beleive this is our core, if not top, holding.

Plenty of activity here today.

I see in the US a lot of the Renewables are up on the likelyhood of an Obama victory. Solar and wind are doing well.

Very happy to keep adding here.

I don't think for one moment that they will go pop.

There may be some protection here simply through diversification they also had a significant quantity of Tresury stock at one stage. I'll be surprised if they go pop but you never know.

In at 16p out at 60p well done. I think I got in at 40p ages ago still got em more to get annual report and keep tabs on the Renewables industry than as an investment or a speculation.

Volumes during the price drop look quite high perhaps indicating it may take some time to recover that said hedge funds shorting VW apparently could have up to €12bn losses as Porsh announced its holding 75% of the stock and the German government another 20%...the SP's gone up over 100% in two days.

Praipus,

Neutral. And I would not short it.

No position at present. Rode MNE from 16p to 60-something pence and then sold. Watching with interest though. Not sure that I have much confidence in funds at present - full stop. At some point though this will become attractive. Have never had any short positions on any stock.

BP and Clipper Wind Power complete JV

$26 million signalling the start of a super renewables BULL phase IMHO. Governments have got to act fast now before the next fossil fuels commod's bull run causes further inflation issues.

From the RNS:
'Under the investment management agreement dated 14 December 2006, a
performance fee is payable based on outperformance of the Company's benchmark
index if the Company's NAV reaches a highwatermark of 55.58p.'
Also
'The NAV prior to the calculation of any performance fee
accruals, for the purpose of assessing the highwatermark, amounted to 44.52p.'

Not entirely sure what this means - seems a bit vague to me.

Dont think so looking at the last RNS it appears to be NAV related and they havent met the high watermark that triggers the payment from what I can see anyway.
