trouble is...we are always full of potential but rarely deliver. The pre-season games havent inspired and Benitez wont be fit for a while. We are a jam tomorrow team to take a stockbroking term. Im hoping you are right though!!!

The big holders gain from a delist, they cut you out, all they have to do if that want to buy in the January window is to say a listing is no longer in their interests, however with the share price rising they may do a rights issue instead

Not likely to delist as need Mr Yeung to approve - which is very unlikely....

bleunose,

It will be an especially sad occasion this time. We last played at Old Trafford on New Years Day 2008. We had the Deputy Chairman's table in the dining room, and we had a great day, despite losing 1-0. My 17 year old son, who was a die-hard like me was lording it up, yet the end of the year saw me burying him. I hope he will be looking over us.

Well to be fair for the second time the directors have dug into their own pockets again.

Birmingham City Gets Further GBP3 Mln Of Funds For Stadium

LONDON (Dow Jones)--U.K. soccer club Birmingham City PLC (BMC.LN) Friday said it has agreed further loans totaling GBP3 million from three of its directors to fund new players and its stadium refurbishment program.

In a statement, Birmingham City said Roldvale Ltd. Employee Benefit Trust - in which director David Sullivan has an interest - will lend it GBP1.5 million and David Gold and Ralph Gold will each lend the club GBP750,000, repayable on or before Sept. 1.

The loans will carry interest of 0.5% a month. There will be no facility fee payable.

The additional funds follow Birmingham City's announcement earlier this month that it received GBP2 million in loans from Roldvale and David Gold.

Today's RNS backs up what I highlighted regarding a lack of cash within the company, £2 million is not going to go far though.

I suspect the directors will have to decide are they going to fund BMC or will they look for another party to do so?

Club might not have any cash but the Directors have and in the past have (according to their own words) dug into their own pockets. Haven't seen any evidence of this in the accounts at any point so can only assume that this has been to aid cash-flow. I guess if necessary they would do this again, particularly knowing the revenue stream guaranteed for next season at least.

After today's accounts I would be more worried they have no cash, worse problem to have in current market situation.

Although no unpleasant surprises that I can see.
