Initial tests look exciting, loads to learn, target now reduced to 15 points, but more set-ups to be found. Risk/reward is 1:1, but with many set-ups slightly at better odds. High probability success. 3% total pot risk rule still applies of course. (£1000 pot - max risk £30, 15 point stop means £2 pp, £10,000 is obviously max £20pp etc)

With the possibility of finding 5+ trades a day, this should be fun!

As an aside, I'm going to start trading an account set-up with £25 in, not wishing to be accused of copying RS, it is, however a great way to set discipline. The first trades will have to be nailed on! The target for the first year is to double it every two months and then probably target doubling it every 6 months thereafter...

Roll on market open!

No problems! No need to get too involved, but if you look for 5 wave advance/decline and know that there will follow an abc corrective wave it does help determine trend. Its all about HH's HL's and vica versa...

I have received an update to the system today and will be changing trades accordingly... once i suss it out i will pop a few charts up. Doing some backtesting at the mo, to see what i have to look out for, hindsight trades i believe they are called!

Happy trading!

And Then,

Many thanks for the clarification - not very familiar with EW but will look into it. I thought that I was beginning to develop a reasonable understanding of your system from your previous posts, but I guess I'll have to study EWT to grasp the whole picture.

Totally understand you wanting to keep the exact criteria under wraps and appreciate you taking the time to post this thread.

All the best,
Tony

Ok Tony, im hammered right now but will try to address your post...
In post 226, i pointed out a 5 wave advance, this needs 3 peaks, (3 higher highs), and should be followed by an abc correction decline, (2 lower lows), once completed and without evidence of a change of trend the next wave begins... this should start with a new HH, as was the case in post 228...

The arrows are an indication of where i believe PA (price action) should be heading. This is very basic Elliot Wave theory, something everyone should be aware of... Of course, once recognised, you could just go long, (or short) and many times, you will make money, but the problem with EW is that it generally only becomes obvious in hindsight! Many peaks (or troughs) are cancelled out by the current PA, as is the case in this chart, (there was a dip which looked to be a HL approx 2 hours earlier which was then cancelled out by a fresh HH and subsequently went on to print the valid HL, as i have shown in the chart.), i hope that makes sense...
Following my last hundred posts or so gives an idea of the system, but at this stage i cannot divulge the exact criteria...

The market is a special place and i have spent many years feeding it!
To place a trade, (daytrade), you need to know the overall direction the market is trending. this is done only by realising HH's and LL's etc... general direction will be in 5 waves, with an abc correction thereafter...

Hi And Then - just wanted a little more clarification on the arrows marked out on the charts above.
Are they signifying the direction you anticipate the market is headed at the time, or where you would enter the market?

Do you have Skype? I have a few questions and would like to have a wee chat regarding your system.
Thanks,
Tony

Still lots to watch for, even though this system makes it simple!

The point is, we are looking for set-ups that give the points straight away, or with only a brief pullback to retest the flagline.... In this instance the second flagline gives a nice entry and points immediately. I think 20 minutes is enough time to stay in a trade.

Another great example of Resistance turning support, works even in the case of a short flagline...

buywell2 - bang on!
But at least it cannot match the even more monstrous slide 2009 onwards.
I wonder if the FD would be prepared to discuss prospects if a shareholder foned.
Has anyone tried this approach to getting info?

In the meantime the ATD chart speaks for itself

Not to listen to it seems to be somewhat unwise methinks

curious- great summary of your views - I get the feeling you are about as disappointed as I am but even more wary about forecasts than me.

emuphil - I take some encouragement from your notes - I admit I am feeling unduly negative at the moment but I also feel that the long view looks better than is reflected in the share price. Barring especially bad news I intend to stick with it.

However, I wish the BoD would take a more public and encouraging stance.

Curious - tks for your take on profits - I dont dispute your figures as whether we are talking zero or £1.4m its still not good enough to change the market view of the company.

For the moment we are staying well clear of my suggested 10p support line and I am grateful for that.

I suspect that atd may not start to move up much until the general market does and the footsie 100 and 250 seem to be a little undecided at present.

Calling all lurkers - use the filter button on nuisances and come and join us.
It works a treat.

Lets hope for a better week next week.
