Usual story

Sales going backwards and the same old garbage spouted as every single time

'The latter two materials are in the late stages of development'

Course they are! They've been in that position for years

Mines can't close deals - never has been able to - can't manage a business either and it is everyone elses fault but his!

Just looked in to see how my investment is going.

Hmmm ....

Hi, to those who remember the halcyon days of White & Balchin.

At least they had good reason to get the share price up (even if it was to settle a family copyright pirating claim from Microsoft - as I was led to believe).

For my not inconsiderable investment, I have 2 promotional pens from this outfit. A metal one from SEO still in daily use and an oddly coloured biocompostable one from BIOM (or BioTec).
They would possibly be worth more than my holding is worth now. Except the trouble is I can't find the biodegradable one.

Come on now Maestro, you know how they get the wrong side of any currency fluctuations every time.

Look back over all the results and see if you can see any 'exchange gains'.

.........although I'm sure the BoD of BIOM would argue that the employee benefits are very, very good and the absence of any accountability for poor performance is a real plus.

hxxp://www.thetimes.co.uk/edition/news/coffee-cups-take-30-years-to-decay-campaigners-warn-cz32w9jd9

So, some sort of compostable cup might be a solution?

Looks like Mines will have to lay low for a while again - just in case some potential business tries to snare him and interrupt his lazy, gravy train riding days.

Remember when he spent a fortune progressing plastic bags and then ran away from it all just before non-biodegradable plastic bag bans came into force?

Expect a withdrawal from the coffee cup market any time soon [as if BIOM ever had any foothold in that market anyway, just numerous, fruitless trials year after year]

Read into my comment as you will, but we are binary on whether the shares will rise on the sale of RF. You believe so, I don't.

"These are purely speculations".Welcome to investment.Your speculation is that RF is valuable and will be sold, and it doesn't take a great leap of imagination to believe BIOM shares may rise considerably on that news. Thanks for your thoughtful input.

These are purely speculations. I do not know what they ultimately intend to do, but if they seek to raise cash they will dilute and reduce the share price. If they sell they have cash and no real assets which also will cause the share to fall if there is no alternative high growth option to pursue.

Based on historical evidence of this management team, and it is nothing personal in my comment, it is far more likely that nothing much happens but a future loss, will drive the share price lower.

So they will likely divest the company that makes 20%+ op margins selling products people want, but you don't anticipate in that event BIOM shares will rise.I think we both suspect that's not true.

It has value, but not as a listed company. As it stands the losses are supported only by RF and thus have value. But that value is dropping. the only reason to invest is because of the future growth opportunity. That has been somewhat scarce with this company for many years.

"It has value, but not here."If RF is privatised as you suggest, it will very quickly have a value here, won't it?

I had mentioned that there is a likelihood that the outcome for this is that RF would be privatised and the cash used to push the shell on a further year or two. 20%+ op margin is not a high growth company and should not be on the stock exchange. It has been like this for years. It has value, but not here. That was my point
