05/9/2016 14:35 | Just to put some reality backYou posted few likely realities:1) the RF business is worth substantially more than the current market cap.(this may be true but this board have a habit of selling assets at substantially below the expectations of the shareholder, it wouldn't surprise me if this was sold sub £1m)2) the plastics products are getting closer to making a material contribution, not further away.(not far away, by the time it's bought to market and completed the new wave of bio plastics will be cheaper and more efficient as we chase tech of old. Just this morning I was watching a video of plastics being made from milk!!!3) management are probably (but not definitely) working hard to get the products out, but it has taken longer than expected.( 4.5 days a week of which they probably do a few hours at best)4) the cynicism has never been greater. (Very wrong there it's just shareholders are still bemused and have been bored to the back teeth with excuse after excuse )5) the share price has rarely been lower.(been thinking this all the way down from a market cap of £300,000,000.00High margin, high growth stuff and it won't take much to flip sentiment.(it's not high margin that why we haven't made a profit, were reliant on biotech cost price, if they see the margin being made they could go direct or simply increase our cost price | sirmark

04/9/2016 15:02 | I get the frustration, and it explains why people were dumping their shares on me at sub £1.A few likely realities:1) the RF business is worth substantially more than the current market cap.2) the plastics products are getting closer to making a material contribution, not further away.3) management are probably (but not definitely) working hard to get the products out, but it has taken longer than expected.4) the cynicism has never been greater.5) the share price has rarely been lower.High margin, high growth stuff and it won't take much to flip sentiment. | wigwammer
02/9/2016 13:41 | Check the RNS's WW 3 years ago they halved everyones investment with a share consolidation. They sold the BIOTEC site for a fraction of its' declared value in the accounts and then wasted £8million over the next 4 years and only have £1m left although that is probably the grant they had for Lignin [they've stopped declaring where those grants have gone!]. You seem keen to want to believe everything is rosy so I'll leave you to it but bear in mind that they need fresh blood and money from new people to keep their gravy train afloat. Mines pays himself more that the Prime Minister. So he gets very, very well paid for continued failure. | begorrah88
02/9/2016 09:47 | Takes a long time to get the product sorted with customers. Such is life for many small caps with a new and disruptive technology. Also forms a significant barrier to entry.I notice they haven't diluted shareholders for years and years, and have no debt. Hardly a towering beacon of incompetence therefore. Results read pretty well - they will likely need cash but have options, including disposal of a circa £3m non core asset.Disposable coffee pods.. What a great idea. | wigwammer
31/8/2016 08:19 | Too many... DL | davidlloyd
31/8/2016 08:14 | How many years is it now that they have been working on coffee pods and being close to market??? | glyn10
31/8/2016 07:09 | Yep, same old, same old. 'The prospects for the suite of bio-materials for the coffee market developed by the Biome Bioplastics division is encouraging as products move into commercialisation albeit exact timing of large scale deployment rests on extensive final testing. The RF Division continues to deliver a strong underlying performance' Jam tomorrow yet again. 'The Board remains confident that the Group's existing and emerging portfolio of exciting products will give rise to a significant and valuable business stream. However, revenues for the remainder of 2016 and the early part of 2017 will reflect the unpredictability and volatility related to the Bioplastics product suite being in the early stages of commercialisation. The Board continues to expect Group revenues for the year to 31 December 2016 to be marginally ahead of those achieved in the prior year' '....early stages of commercialisation... Now, where have we heard that before? oh yes, every single update for the last 7 years. | begorrah88
30/8/2016 23:46 | If I had shorted then I would have made a nice 13point drop from the 1.38-1.25 bidAs said it would have been easy to make money with a little organisation in this illiquid stock but that would be market manipulation and against the law.I have watched this board rinse everyone of there money and optimism to the point we all left broke And even if this rallied to £3 tomorrow that would still only be about .006 old moneyAmy way good luck to those that still hold | sirmark
30/8/2016 15:20 | Yes, there is no price at which you would buy, and that makes no sense either. The interesting thing is though - it seems everyone agrees with you. | wigwammer
30/8/2016 13:28 | WW When I first came to BIOM [SEO at the time] these threads had stale bulls on them talking about how useless the BoD were and how the stock was a money pit. I chose to ignore them How I wish I'd taken notice, since then there have been many false dawns, many poor decisions by the board and an awful lot of money wasted by them and on them. Maybe there is something behind this latest rise in the share price but it would be completely out of kilter with what the BoD have announced. I'd be more inclined to think it is, as suggested above, running the share price up to create some activity before pulling it down again like has happened many times before. I hope you get lucky as I still hold 14000 shares of this dog but past experience tells me that tomorrow will bring nothing to justify the share price rise other than the usual hot air and talk of deals that never materialise. | begorrah88
30/8/2016 12:28 | It's a bizarre rise in the share price today given that the trading update in June was poor for both the interim and full year period. From the trading update in June, "it is now likely that the Group's full year performance will be significantly behind current market expectations". Either trading has picked up significantly, they've received a bid approach or speculators are chasing up the price for no apparent reason? Odd to see a 28% rise the day before interims though, although this is one of the most illiquid stocks on AIM. | michaelmouse
30/8/2016 12:28 | It appears the only posters here are stale bulls turned bears, who have dumped their stock.Very bullish imo. | wigwammer
30/8/2016 12:16 | Who can I use to go short on this anyone know? | sirmark
30/8/2016 10:11 | Best of luck to all holders tomorrow. A welcome rise but not sure what is happening. Many of us know, only too well, not to expect any rise to hold or be justified by any updates but here's hoping. Bold - good to see that you can still dream. | begorrah88
30/8/2016 08:24 | Interims tomorrow, Will this fly? many big new trials nearing completion, large fiscal contracts signed, no debt and reduction in director salaries. big dividend payment to shareholders. vaneric, beghorra, sirmark, tony relaxes and many more LT shareholders meet up in Cannes for celebratory champagne party after record profit on their 10+ year investment in Stanelco/Biome technologies. Then I fell out of bed!! Ah well. cheers everyone!! | boldtrader
24/8/2016 08:21 | Thank you for conceding that shares do not usually rise into a cash call.I am sure you have more experience of following/owning this dog than I do. | wigwammer
24/8/2016 07:11 | 'I've been around long enough to know bs when i read it.' You read many BIOM trading updates and results? | begorrah88
23/8/2016 17:16 | "Maybe some MM's trying to generate some activity in the stock so that any cash call can start from a higher base."I've been around long enough to know bs when i read it.Stocks do not usually rise into cash calls, do they? | wigwammer
23/8/2016 16:42 | ...are you new around here wigwammer? | begorrah88
23/8/2016 16:02 | A small amount of buys met by an even smaller amount of sells.Hence the price rise.Stocks don't usually rise into a share issue, do they? | wigwammer
23/8/2016 15:16 | It is about £10k's worth of buys so not a great deal [it'll be a much smaller deal soon if they leave it for Mines to trash]. Maybe some MM's trying to generate some activity in the stock so that any cash call can start from a higher base. I'd imagine a pure punt from some poor sap Mines got talking to on holiday .....or maybe Viv or Rushton averaging down yet again! ;-) | begorrah88
23/8/2016 13:53 | Could be the interims due on the 31st. | boldtrader
23/8/2016 11:56 | Selling the RF business? At 1x sales would bring in £3m, so not surprising in that event stock moving quickly (mkt cap circa £2m before today).Would give them a lifeline for several years to develop the core technologies. | wigwammer |
