Stupid question but here goes anyway...Anyone going to attend the agm?

..ah. now that would require effort and putting themselves out, attending trade fairs etc

Mines killed all of that stone dead not long after arriving - said trade fairs were too expensive and non productive - then went and did a did one in America funded by BIOM!

Doesn't look as though any of the BIOM board have made any effort to find any institutional investors or do any presentations to invite new investment although, as I've said before, can't be many II's that would risk anything on BIOM after all of Mines false dawns and 'end stage trials' that never seem to turn into orders.

JMF, Biome needs a new contract, expand production etc, but BOD can't see the point. Now or never as they say.

Notable that not a single director is prepared to risk a single penny of their own cash following the update.

Tells you all you need to know.

They just take huge 'risk free' incomes out every month.

There is no doubt that the bioplastic market is growing. The question has always been can the management achieve sales growth in line with that. They have always managed to disappoint so far and I as many others continue to hold in the hope that one day it comes good. Don't see the point in selling the small fraction of my original investment that is left. Gla

Sir mark, thanks for info. It's not clear they received any grant money in last six months?

AmtYour looking at the cash from then to now but your not taking into account the extra cash in flow from the grants. I remember Paul telling me that the year had started well and 2 swallows don't make a summer comment implying things where good and we ended up being 40% down for that period .... They may well be making some headway but after being invested for about 8 years there's only so much support you can give someone while they keep failing and blaming everyone else. For me not depending the patent claim only for us to sell Biotec (massive error) and within six months of that happening the patent dispute that cost us multiple millions to defend, gets resolved !!!!! hhhmmmm ??? Don't let the ebita numbers fool you, let's see, he had to get those number to get his KPI bonus so was always going to make sure they where hit and as things progress so will his bonus and the gravy train will follow and when things slip, China slow down or what ever reason is next to follow the new wages will be maintained ( not enough influential holders anymore to stop it)

Since interims burnt 170k of cash so on that basis would have 5 years of cash left.
They mention they are at breakeven and with turnover expected to increase significantly I don't see cash as an issue. However no idea if this is going to take off or not, I doubt it for 6 months away.

Just imagine where they would be if they didn't have the grant money covering costs... The grant money is now done so expect the cash to run out fast they normally lose £1.5 mob per year on just turning the lights on so with the grants done and dusted and no more available where is the next lot of money coming from ????? There have sold all the companies silver... Be warned avoid this like the plague.

I doubt it mate the have used the grant money to cover admin costs and soon unless they win something major or another grant then come year end will more than likely need to raise funds .... Even sooner if the board feel they have met their targets for bonus and met the boards expectations. If your long take this chance to get some of the table... You'll be able to buy in cheaper in a few months

What likelyhood of any of the directors risking a penny of their own money in here? [Standen - I'm not talking about awarding yourself some shares!]

How long since we saw any of them provide any support by way of actual share purchases?

Allenby report pretty much as expected...no changes to profit forecast for y/e 2017 but a slight increase in fair value to £1.80. Any announcement of commercial sales for their temperature resistant biodegradable product set would lead to upgrades.

Does have to be said that the line about this year to date being 'encouraging' did make me laugh.

A few years ago Mines was 'encouraged' by the good start to the year [two swallows etc eh SM - remember that] only for the revenue to be 40% down Year on year! he was pleased with that and we are not talking about the year they sold off Biotec.

Lol jam tomorrow ....... Takes me back to the good old days of sales in the multi millions ..... KPI = bonuses more cash coming out the door .... £1.5 million that's all the cash left after all the money this mob has had shameful .... I'm sure this that are old long termers will see the same pattern forming.

Spot on Mudbath

Don't know if anyone saw the piece in the Sunday Times a couple of weeks ago about 'vegware'?

Started in 2006 and already has sales of £11.8mpa

Shows there is a business there if you are committed to selling your products.
