Most of it do seem AT, strange how it has triggered a whole batch of AT resulting in a massive drop in share price

We can only hope!!

However, I agree just based on fundamentals it looks a riser provided the half reuslts show a positive...

Hopefully half year results will be good, and should be due sometime in the next couple of weeks. Theoretically, BIO is worth a lot more just on fundamentals. This is because there should be six months of operating with just 2 divisions. If I recall correctly, for last half years' results they divested a company, and the IVD division results were shafted by 1 customer moving to VMI, (and so didn't buy anything for a couple months) and another customer's new product didn't take off quite as fast as expected. So the last half year results were quite unclear.

So all I want is something over 1p EPS, and decent cash flow to pay down the debt.

From Market Close Report:
"Renewed bid hopes sent Bionostics climbing. At the start of October it confirmed discussions were ongoing that could see North Atlantic Value Fund make an offer of 30p, but it has been quiet since."

Now nearly 22% up and third highest gainer of the day. I have to laugh the way this has been walked down, weeding out the weaker holders and sweeping away stop losses. I saw the same thing happen with RTD before it was taken out. Hopefully this will have a positive outcome as well.

Good point CWA1. What is also interesting is that whenever the share price has got to around the 20p mark (give or take a penny) the share price has bounced. At the moment a good support level.

Of course, as ever, it's the trades that you can't see that will drive it rather than the ones that you can. Still, fingers cossed for some good news.

Yes,amazing. So thin is the market on this share that on 3500 shares traded (and none showing on plus markets) the share goes up over 10%!
Edit: Now up 17.9%. News??

sp goes up 2p, which adds £1 million to the market cap, on trades valued at £700. As you say CWA, hopefully the latter....

Modest flurry upwards there. Has somebody bought a thousand shares, or is some news leaking out? Hopefully the latter...

Acquilla,
Agreed. Was rather hoping that NAV would have moved before the interims, in case the interims are as good as you anticipate.

tunturiflyer, I think the latter is more likely. It really has been a long time since the offer talks were announced. Hopefully we shall hear something with the results(which, incidentally, I anticipate will be good), due shortly.

NAV have 26% of the equity. Presumably they are not completely stupid. Either they are busy trying to find folk that would be prepared to buy each of the two bits of the company. Alternatively, if they took it private they would save a fair amount of LSE listing, audit, goverence and useless management expenses. So maybe they are waiting for the debt markets to sort themselves out, so they can get the debt at lower cost.

They would know that they are not going to be able to offload 26% of the equity to a bunch of private investors, so they are going to have to do something.

Thanks for that.

However, it seems that NAV offer is somewhere in the very distant future, if it still exist!!!

Maybe they are waiting to see what the interims are likely to yeild....

Vlain,
Have posted this point before, however: All I see is sells of 750 and 1250 shares - all of a couple hundred pounds. Have seen sells of these volumes since about March. Would really like someone else's take on what these sells are. - Although if you have access to plus markets you probably see more trades, that don't get posted on TDW's listing of delayed trades.

However, NAV bought at prices up to 30p, mainly around 24 to 26p. My own theory is that someone is selling in tiny amounts to walk the share price down, so that when NAV bid for the rest of the shares, they can offer a rather measly 30p a share. If there had been a constant stream of purchases, and the share price had held up, they would probably be prepared to pay up 35 to 38p. Somewhat annoying.

Interim results should be due soon. Just hope the problems that depressed full year EPS have gone away, and they produce something vaguely in line with brokers expectations that suggests 2.3 pence EPS for full year.

hmmm. Some pretty determined buying minutes from the end has pushed the share price up 6.6%. Something afoot?
