I exited, too; poor form, I thought, to issue an RNS after the market opened.

Just looked at the South East Consortium website, some decent big members in there.
If they finished ranked 1st which it seems they did, this could be a decent re-entry for quarter 4 profits.

The reason these continue to rise is because I sold my holding over the last week, basically because I thought the price had got ahead of things. Good luck to all those that remain.

We all have our own strategies, none better than the others.... at the end of the day, buy when you are comfortable, whatever strategy, chart, trend you use, at least you'll be reasoned whatever happens.
I personally would at least put a margin in before results, then jump in fully when the time is right.
Who knows... i'm happy to see people here

Saucepan,Many thanks for your thoughts, no advice taken.RSI is oversold and can't reconcile buying at this level at the moment. If in doubt sit on hands a while longer!Aim,I agree, not a question of why buy but when - before or after Interims. The spread doesn't help!.ThanksDD

DD. Tough one I agree there.
To be honest this has risen on very little news, remember they are building a strategy of acquiring other similar businesses. Looking at Purdy (purchased July)they seem solid and very well regarded, P&R the same. A recession proof business model based on social housing needs.
I would say this is about as safe as you can be on this market.
I have been buying top ups every week.

DD: it is a tough call: there are arguments for buying now on strength or waiting for a pull back. A compromise is to buy a half position now and then top up if you think an opportunity does present itself. That way you would at least have some skin in the game if the price continues to run. No advice intended. I am not sure what I would do if I was looking at BILB for the first time - though I personally never average down, only average up.

modform: I was in CLG briefly (perhaps you noticed a post on the CLG thread). I cannot recall whether I posted my exit and nor exactly why I sold up. I think the share price cannot have moved as I had anticipated. It is a while since I have checked back, so am grateful for the reminder! I did like the growth story very much.

I have just looked on ShareScope and the story still seems just as compelling and with valuations a little more attractive than they were previously. I have also just looked at the 4 November trading update and personally did not read anything untoward in this. (It might be worth going back over previous RNS announcements, to get a sense what is the typical tone that CLG management uses: i.e. do they tend to underplay forecasts or are they typically over-bullish? Sorry, I have not had the time to do that just now, but I generally find it a useful exercise - under-promise and over-deliver seems to be the best style :-) On the other hand if the most recent CLG statement is noticeably different in style that might indeed be a warning flag.

I note, too, the 9 November contract announcement. That seems to augur well.

Last but not least, technicals. The 150-day moving average is one I use a lot (influenced by Stan Weinstein). It seems to work really well for CLG. The price is currently right back on the 150 day moving average. Provided this again acts as support, it might indeed be a great time to buy. It would also allow for a tight stop (i.e. if the 150 day moving average failed to hold the price).

I seem to recall that Christmas is an important time of year for CLG and that it had a very good Christmas last year. Perhaps the same again? I must admit I am quite tempted myself having looked again - so renewed thanks for asking.

(Sorry to others for O/T)
