The company is still a company according to companies house: so we just have to wait for the final reckoning.

Is the hold up due to a tax settlement ? I guess they had accumulated tax due from losses ?

From my broker.

Liquidation Effective date: 17th August 2015 Please be informed that Bglobal PLC entered into Members' Voluntary Liquidation appointed Philip Watkins of FRP Advisory LLP as a joint Liquidator under Section 110 of the Insolvency Act 1986. This became effective on the 17th August. Following the effective date, the liquidators have now made 2 cash distributions to shareholders, one on the 17th September for 1.8 pence per ordinary share and a second for 0.83 pence per ordinary share which brings the total distribution to 2.63 pence per ordinary share. A final nominal distribution for the remaining balance, estimated at 0.8 pence per share will take place in the New Year.

It is a return of capital

OK - so that's it...in terms of tax, should we treat the payments as dividends or capital gains / loss ?

It achieved what I wanted - the deals I made at the beginning of sept 2014 yielded me over 21% in 14 months at no risk of not at least getting my money back.

Holders with Barclays Stockbrokers won't have done as their corporate actions team is useless. Expect it about a week (or more) after everyone else.

Are we not over due the final payment - stated to be around a month after the first. i.e. 22nd Oct. ?

The company had around £5.3m at the beginning of the wind down. The next distribution should provide that about £2.9m has been returned. It will be interesting to read the accounts to understand where some of the cash has gone.

When and how do shareholders get to see completion accounts ?

edit - I rang the liquidator, who advised that the process is still delayed, awaiting response from the inland revenue, and that it is hoped that the final distribution will go out later this month. A letter will go out to shareholders regarding the accounts in due course.

For all the ups and downs, having bought initially at 46p, and then at a low of 3.65p, I came out with 1.5k profit.
When are we likely to get the other 0.9p..?

Well guys I think that's just about it,
I have quite enjoyed this thread, no silly nonsense just good straight forward banter over the last four years or so..
I believe BGBL was a company far ahead of it's time..
Time to move on and maybe see some of you on the CPX thread.
(No ramping intended)

no,sorry to mislead. 0.9 of one pence = 2.73p or there abouts..
The proposed first payment has been reduced to 1.83p and for
what it's worth I am far from happy..
