Please can someone post how to calculate the cgt implications.
I took the default so have cash at 3.83 and intend to hold the rdsb
I am a little confused as had 4 holdings in bg. bought at different prices over the last 15 years.

Finally got my Shell shares into the third day of trading but, no word from TDW as to how they derived my entitlement or, if I am due
cash balance and no apology from TDW for late delivery!
Makes you feel really appreciated !

If Hargreaves can manage to deliver on the day why can't TD?
Fail to plan, Plan to fail seems an appropriate expression here.
They should be ensuring they have adequate staff to handle corporate actions before they commit staff to an ISA transfer promotion.
The delay results in a lost opportunity to exercise any course of action that we wish. They should seriously be considering some sort of recompense for us all.
If we were unable to make settlement for share deals on settlement days we would be penalised - shouldn't the same rules apply to the providers?

I'm waiting on TD as well,phoned them earlier, they blame the delay on volume of the RDSA shares,yeah, that was helpful

TD Direct investing - No sign yet or communication as to when anything is going to happen. And, this isn't the first time they've failed to act in a timely manner!
Are they over reaching in their ambitions?
They have a promotion for transfer ISAs - if they can't cope in a timely manner at present what hope is there in the future with a bigger slice of the market?

The board stays open for as long as people want to use it.

It's good for people to post when they get their cash so others can see which brokers should not be touched with a barge pole.

Example Barclays Stockbrokers.

I'm sure almost everyone rushed to check their accounts this morning. Looks like we're all in the same boat. Nothing for me either. It will just take a little time to sort. Just as long as we're credited for the RDSB Q4 div.

I haven't received shares yet but my broker messaged me this last week:

"We expect the new Royal Dutch Shell shares to be credited on or shortly after the 15th February. Payment of the cash consideration is expected on or around the 29th February."

So you can always phone your broker, but nothing to worry about I think.

Have any former BG holders received their Shell shares yet? I know about the 14 day settlement but I take it that applies to the cash payments. Any help appreciated.

The effective date is the 15th

Latest date for payment of consideration - 14 days after that


I guess most brokers will be paid on the 15th

and then I suppose it depends on how desperate your broker is to hold on to your funds:)

Can anybody throw some light on the two trades registered today after the market closed? I guess it must be an accumulation of trades because they total nearly £22 million!!!!
Long/short positions closing out maybe???
