06/2/2008 18:42 | Is any of the cash actually accessible for the benefit of shareholders, given that the last accounts said: "$10,392 of cash and cash equivalents in the Company's insurance subsidiary (LPAL) which are not currently available to fund the operations or commitments of the Company or its other subsidiaries" ? | tiredoldbroker

08/1/2008 13:00 | Gyllenhammar has increased his stake | hugepants
07/1/2008 13:28 | Baner, Heres the shareholders list. Gyllenhammar is there and so are 2 Value Funds so thats good for small shareholders Id have thought. I think Adam (who held over 3% at one time?) posted several months ago saying he thought Trueger had the Share Scheme shares "in his pocket". So it looks like the Share Scheme shares, worthless as far as equity value goes, still have voting rights. Arthur Irwin Trueger 19,260,693 29.89% London Pacific Grp Share Schme 13,247,181 20.56% Mr Gyllenhammar 4,095,000 9.4% SC Fundamental Value Fund 5,634,240 8.74% SC Fundamental Value BVI 4,079,970 6.33% Mr I.K. 07/1/2008 13:13 | There are also some dubious payments to suppliers which seem very odd indeed! | jotoha1
07/1/2008 13:08 | £150,000 is way OTT looking at the size of this company and the share price fall. I googled 'Arthur Trueger' yesterday ,he posts on numerous blogs and has a website at arthurtrueger.com which ironically looks as though its had a lot more effort put into than berkelyvc.com | jim_black
07/1/2008 12:16 | Executive salaries here. Trueger on $300K BEK should be a decent hedge against a US recession ie. their cash would effectively be worth more and let them take advantage of depressed valuations when making investments. Well thats the theory anyway. This is BEK after all. | hugepants
04/1/2008 16:14 | Jim b, lookng at the expenses...between $400/$500 K | jotoha1

04/1/2008 00:25 | So whats treuger taking out the company? | jim_black
03/1/2008 23:06 | HUGE PANTS - you are absolutely right in your number crunching but again: will treuger let all shareholders in on this ? how can the NEDs accept that treuger is milking the company for his own benefits and does not look after the best interest of all shareholders ? the answer is likely to be: they would loose their NED fees if they raise their voices! shareholders need to take action on this one and hold the board liable for any lack of actions to look after the best interest of ALL shareholders. | baner |
