08/6/2016 16:59 | What's Up - thank you for the route to Spanish articles concerning inter alia the Salamanca mine. But if you are being transparent and fair why not print the article about the regional parliament. Didn't suit your agenda eh What's Up? What's Up - are you not conflating Marquess of Queensbury rules (boxing) with the late Geoffrey Howe's straight bat in the House (cricket)? Whilst it might not matter to boxers it probably would to first class cricketers. Oh humble little me - only speak three languages and only two fluently; I had better go back to class and stay in some other countries a little more. Oh dear, dear, | snowyflake
08/6/2016 16:42 | Thanks snowflake for the correction on Mantra. | herlat1
08/6/2016 16:41 | QP. Thanks for the heads-up - good work. | kreature
08/6/2016 16:36 | QP thank you that is fascinating. But you still have not explained why you are doing this?It also doesn't explain how you pick up the obscure negative articles immediately they occur nor why you fail to post the positive ones such as today's very positive article in La Gazeta? You previously listed your preconditions for investment which i recall involved financing and money in the bank. What were the others? All major approvals in place, financing at a premium from the major shareholder and commencing development must be looking good by now? | herlat1
08/6/2016 16:18 | Nice. Money in the bank!Clearly RCF (as well as President Herrera) are full of confidence about the project.Premium Financing UpdateBerkeley Energia Limited is pleased to announce that the equity component of the recently announced financing with Resource Capital Funds (RCF) has successfully completed. The equity financing comprised the issue of US$5 million worth of ordinary shares in the Company at a price of 32 pence per share which represented a premium of approximately 9% to the 10-day VWAP and 15% to the 30-day VWAP, highlighting the strength of the project and its robust economics even at the current low uranium prices. | herlat1
08/6/2016 15:08 | Well as long as you feel 100% comfortable about posting on public bulletin boards about regulated securities and making recommendations ("If you are a potential investor then i would happily recommend BKY as one of very the best juniors around."), go for it. For avoidance of doubt, I have no connection with any groups opposed to the mine. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
08/6/2016 14:42 | Not that i am willing to disclose QP. Equally you may wish to share with us all other than being a 'buyer in waiting' what connections do you have with the groups opposed to the mine? | herlat1
08/6/2016 14:33 | No. Do you have any OTHER connection with BKY? Do you CURRENTLY have any other connection of whatever nature with Berkeley Energia whether direct/indirect or formal/informal, other than as a present/past shareholder ? ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
08/6/2016 14:27 | Yes i do QP i am a shareholder and as i mentioned before i have invested in these guys before. I made a lot of money when they sold Mantra for nearly a billion and have made money on their other stocks Equatorial and Papillon. Not all are winners of course but the Apollo Group is probably one of the most successful mining investment groups around. If you are a potential investor then i would happily recommend BKY as one of very the best juniors around. As you rightly point out there is lots of negative media, equally as others have posted there is also some positive media. In my experience (in other countries) the greens and bloggers will move onto the next protest once this project is developed. My money is on this team and President Herrera! | herlat1
08/6/2016 13:58 | You say media scare. That's rubbish. The only things I post are factual newspaper-based and verifiable information such as the 173,000 strong petition on Change.Org against the mine and the El Pais article concerning the Audiencia Nacional. You keep on asking me why I am posting. I can but reiterate that I am potentially interested to invest. Your turn now. You keep on being just so defensive, hyper-sensitive and territorial. In the past, you have stated that you are a shareholder of Berkeley. Do you have any other connection of whatever nature with Berkeley Energia whether direct/indirect or formal/informal? ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
08/6/2016 13:07 | But surely the REAL QUESTION is why this topic came up at the Regional Parliament and why he is called upon to have to defend the project if everything is apparently so hunky-dory and tickety-boo in the first place, according to certain sources. Ask yourself why they are discussing certain aspects of the project at regional Parliament level. We must not still forget the fact that the Audiencia Nacional are looking into the legality of the mine, according to El Pais. Glad to see that others are now reading the Spanish local press to see what is really going on locally on the ground at grass roots level. Always good to scratch beneath the surface and not just rely on the UK gloss. Please do keep on monitoring the Spanish press as it would not surprise me if there were not quite a lot more coverage over the coming periods. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
08/6/2016 12:42 | An excellent piece of analysis from Haywood Securities in Mining Journal – Haywood are very bullish on future global demand for Uranium and that they: “expect the period from 2017– 2020 to be a landmark period for the nuclear sector and uranium stocks, as the global operating nuclear reactor fleet expands” and that reactors "just being built now should increase global demand by a fifth." Strong long term prices for Uranium from buyers like Utilities willing to pay a large premium to spot price in order to secure their supply Uranium juniors defy bear market pricing Some nice interactive graphics too | snickerdog
08/6/2016 12:28 | QP apologies i missed your earlier post. Clearly the President of the Region seems to have no problem with the legality of the mine and i assume that his departmental heads who prepared his response to the Regional Parliament clearly see no problem either. | herlat1
08/6/2016 12:12 | QP you have posted the petition information before and you know well that there is a big difference between metropolitan millennials liking things online and over 20,000 people applying for jobs at the mine. It appears to me that President of the Region is very strongly in favour of the mine and has made it clear that it is soundly based on over eighty favorable reports. My money is on the government of the region and the locals wanting real jobs over students liking things online from their bedrooms in Barcelona.Unlike the 20,000 real people who have applied for jobs through an agency on behalf of the Company i understand that the online petition is completely unaudited and so a bored student can sit there all day clicking on the website! You claim to be a 'buyer in waiting' and yet you relentlessly drag up negatives almost on a full time basis.Once again QP why dont you come clean and tell us why you are posting on this board? | herlat1
08/6/2016 10:52 | I've translated an article from today's La Gaceta des Salamanca below which seems to show strong project support from the President of the Regional Government Herrera defends the uranium mine of Retortillo at the Regional Parliament He claims that there are 80 favourable reports This Tuesday the representative of Grupo Mixto (IU –a Spanish political party), José Sarrión, requested to the Regional Government “more suspicion” regarding the project of the multinational company Berkeley in Retortillo and considered that they should be interested in clarifying if “there is something shady” in the authorization procedure of the uranium mining exploitation. On this regard, Juan Vicente Herrera, President of the Regional Government of Castilla and Leon, defended the administrative procedure and the environmental impact declaration (Environmental License), which, as he reminded, was not appealed by IU nor was it refuted by any legal procedure. At the weekly question session to the Government at the Parliament plenary session, Sarrión pointed out that some information “shed light” on some aspects that in his opinion should “awake suspicions” in the Regional Government. Nevertheless, the President stated that the Regional Government does not move “by impulses” and “suspicions&rd Juan Vicente Herrera also maintained that the Project has already a total of 80 favourable reports and authorizations issued by different administrations and he reminded that others are pending from the Town Halls of Retortillo and Villavieja de Yeltes. In this sense the President requested not putting pressure on the municipal leaders and defended the strict application of the law on this matter. Besides, he stated that Castilla y León has guarantees for discarding any project not complying with the law. | snickerdog
06/6/2016 20:43 | The number of unemployed in Spain has risen to over 9,200.000. Might be a good idea if a few of them got a job. Oh I know where there are jobs. Oh but 173,000 people don't think that any of them should be working at the Berkeley mine. | snowyflake
06/6/2016 13:46 | now risen to 28,649,000 supporters | sharnish
06/6/2016 12:29 | Now risen to 173,000 supporters. Hard to ignore. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
06/6/2016 12:23 | bye-bye. glad to see the back of you. QP | quepassa
06/6/2016 12:12 | So sad when a serial deramper declines an offer to debate a company. You appear to be very stressed in regards BKY , perhaps a short going wrong ? I'm guessing by your tone that AIM has not been kind to you and so I will happily return to LSE where I once again invite you to participate in conversation and debate all things positive and negative BKY Or would you prefer to wallow in your own Misreprentations ? Credibility comes from balanced conversation something clearly you are adverse to I'll continue to post on LSE and once again I invite you there and wont disturb you on 'YOUR' own personal forum which you protect with such ferousness Perhaps I might keep my account open here If only to invite you to the £1 party , the £2 party and perhaps even the £3 party. Have fun and try not to get to stressed about it all | serendipity888 |
