06/10/2004 17:04 | Well, the 60k is a sell, the 50k is not so clear - may be a sell too... Can't understand anyone selling right now after the drop and the guid news... sell on the fact, sure, but where was the rumour? and the trading results not even priced in! Roll on Hogmanay! | edmundshaw
06/10/2004 16:52 | 2 x T trades gone through late in the day.. Any thoughts.... | domtheone
06/10/2004 16:01 | Aye, Christmas will do..... :-) | domtheone
06/10/2004 15:49 | Hmm, lots of buys going through, no price action. Big sell being filled? When it is this should go up (eventually). I can wait :-) | edmundshaw
06/10/2004 15:25 | Nice update. Having sold half my holding at around 440 with a view to utilising it elsewhere I now find myself looking to re-invest the cash here again. | salpara111
06/10/2004 13:38 | DOH! Wish they'd have delayed it so I could buy more at 413(ish) Still, maybe we've reached bottom..... | domtheone
06/10/2004 10:31 | Anyone able to put up a short and long term chart, Peter2001 ? Regards, Chutes. | chutes01
06/10/2004 10:27 | Todays RNS is superb timing after our purchases! Don't even need to buy on the news! Highlights: * "BELHAVEN PUB ESTATE REACHES 250 LANDMARK, ... having added more than 50 units to the portfolio in the past 12 months." A 25% increase!!! and profit from these not all factored in to this period/year, so already growth likely for next year. * "We hope to expand our portfolio to 300 units by the end of calendar year 2005. All the units acquired in the past year are located within our Scottish trading heartland." * Belhaven has traded well in the first half ... with excellent performances from both Belhaven Pubs and Belhaven Drinks. Sales have exceeded internal expectations and have been comfortably ahead of previous year,...". * Current trends underpin the Board's confidence ... that we will achieve our immediate objective of delivering a fifteenth year of uninterrupted growth in both sales and profits." :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) | edmundshaw
05/10/2004 19:29 | OK. £5 by H/Y results then! Am actually sitting on a loss having only bought in a few months ago when the price was a fair few pence more than what it is now! Was in again at 420-430 and may top up in a few days but that'll probably be it for me then. Not too worried, yet. Will see what happens later in the year.... | domtheone
05/10/2004 17:50 | £5 by Christmas? You're not in a hurry then... perhaps you should be in MPH or ASC!! Seriously, this brewery plus JBC and BND (was BWB) have slowly but surely made me better off over the last couple of years (though this one has retraced most of my profits for the moment). 'hurry slowly'... | edmundshaw
05/10/2004 17:08 | I hope your right. I may have to take some profits on other stocks to add to my small holding here. I did think these might be £5 by Christmas, still time........ | domtheone
05/10/2004 12:09 | Stabilised? Looks OK today ...so far. For a company with nigh unparalleled growth record, a historic PE of 12 would be undemanding even without the excellent expansion plans and the reiterated 'above expectations' AGM statement. That would be a price of 450p. This IS a bargain... I've added a little more. May miss the bottom, but better than missing out IMO. | edmundshaw
27/9/2004 14:49 | Further drop today. Someone is offloading... I shall not add further till this stabilises, as I'm close to my investment limit on a single stock anyway. E. | edmundshaw
23/9/2004 12:24 | £100,000 delayed buy come through explains the price recovery... | edmundshaw
23/9/2004 11:50 | Can't see any record of a H/Y trading update last year so it might be over 2 months before any news yet :-( | domtheone
23/9/2004 10:54 | Historic PE of 11, yield about 3%, 13 years of growth, large pub expansion in the offing (some already adding to T/O), BHG showing excellent chances of further growth; and great management. At Q1 trading was "comfortably ahead" of the previous year. Always the chance of a problem, and all runs come to an end, but I wouldn't expect Stuart Ross to let the long term growth stall, whatever. My guess is that the increased institutional interest over the last year or two is adding volatility (seen it before in growth stories where the co breaks onto the radar screens of new institutions). This can occur as they have large holdings - when they become a buyer or a seller (top slicing or changing tack), it can have a disproportionate effect on the share price (sorry if I'm stating the obvious). Added 25% to my holding today. For me this is a great buying opportunity! | edmundshaw
23/9/2004 10:31 | BHG continues to drop like a stone with no news. Looks increasingly ominous - I can't recall any similar fall in the past 4 or 5 years of following this share, apart from during the dot com days. HDYS, which is easily the most comparable company, remains strong, so what is going on at BHG? Any views, please? | hunting lodge
21/9/2004 16:35 | Oh, I guarantee it!!! :-) | edmundshaw
21/9/2004 16:22 | Well I added at 429ish several days ago so I hope your right ;-) | domtheone
16/9/2004 16:55 | Looks like support today... can't see this price staying; when the interested institutions think the selling is over, I think they'll be fighting for the cheap shares. My target is 600p in about 18 months or so if economic conditions stay benign. The growth and targetted growth in the pub estate is just too good, and fully fundable from the rights issue. | edmundshaw
14/9/2004 10:08 | Nope. Guess they'll be a H/Y update in a month or so though..... | domtheone
14/9/2004 09:11 | They seem to be in free fall at the moment, down another 8.5p today. Either some bad news to come or MMs looking to get some shares to fill a big order, I really don't know do you? | luderitz
10/9/2004 16:33 | Would anybody care to offer an opinion as to where this may find support? | domtheone
09/9/2004 17:16 | Blimey, A non red day! | domtheone |
