01/9/2016 19:21 | Well they can win best of breed OK but if they are running in the wrong race then its not much use ;-) well they mention numbers of new clients now albeit few major contracts signed yet but we are promised in the pipe line... again its happening but we really would like to see them nail down something major on the Telco side. Telco systems does actually break even so any new contract is going to have a disproportianate effect on the bottom line....... | fse
01/9/2016 18:10 | Another award..........must be some truth in this "best of breed" malarkey.... | spekky

31/8/2016 16:08 | FSE Fairly made points,as you say,it's about turning those PoCs into multi million dollar contracts and on the diagnostics.....how big is the China deal? AND what is the disruptive tech in development (USA)? The market seems to believe Zvi has a few tricks up his sleeve but personally he never has my 100 per cent belief,I hope I will have to retract that statement. | spekky
31/8/2016 15:22 | The interview with Zvi is worth listening to. The interim results and statements are starting to show what we have assumed to be the case and there is a lot more in there that is easier to reference. Basically what I am saying is that we have a clearer idea as to just where the company is at this point in time. Obvious groan is that we hoped for slightly better figures but these are once again showing progress and sustainability. Thats really my only itch with what I am hearing. There is a lot to like in there ... The diagnostic business is performing as we had hoped and the combination of in house production, better margins and major distributors ... thats all looking good and I would expect that their optimism here is not unfounded. The Telco business is finally making some headway but we really do need to see those POC's turn into orders. I am cautiously optimistic here within the caveats of time delays in convincing clients. Cyberguard is already showing promise and expect a lot more uptake here. What I do like is that they have developed all these products to a marketable state from their own resources. Not many can make that claim. Bottom line is that progress continues and management have reason to feel confident. For investors there is that frustration of surely we are there now ! I still have these as a hold and longer term buy. Valuation remains tepid ... To be honest there is contextual content this time in the statements. One remark from Zvi hangs in my memory and that is that all these technologies are new and perhaps we have to accept that the timeframes get blown out there ... | fse
31/8/2016 07:53 | reeltime Thanks for the link - Lots in there. Regards. DYOR | james dean
31/8/2016 06:31 | Additionally, the Diagnostics business is developing a new disruptive technology introduced in the US. Still in the early stages, patents have been granted and research grants have been received." That line is from interims at Aug 2015........I know these things take time but I cannot find any reference to it. | spekky
30/8/2016 22:05 | Strong order book means “exciting&rdqu 10:23 30 Aug 2016 BATM Advanced Communications Ltd (LON:BVC) chief executive Zvi Marom says the next twelve months should be “exciting&rdqu Marom tells Proactive Investors that proof of concept trials are going well with several “major cyber” companies, and expects those trials to materialise into full contracts in the second half of 2016 and into 2017. “We have now almost finished several proof of concepts with several governments on our cyber solutions [software],” Marom explains. “We are seeing that customers that have tested the new technology are happy and we are expecting orders.” Marom adds that the value of each of these contracts will be “in the millions of dollars.” “Every such order, we believe, is in the millions of dollars, so we are pretty excited.” As well as these government orders, Marom also expects BATM to send “a substantial amount of products” to China in the coming months. See the Video..... | reeltime
30/8/2016 17:15 | Another set of results that have disappointed. I suspect the markets predicted a higher turnover figure and a small return to profit. There is optimism for the second half of the year, but we hear this on a regular basis and nothing comes to fruition. Until we hear positive numbers and a re-introduction of the dividend, the share price will remain static. The long term plan must be to split the business into two and sell off one of the divisions. | paulisi
30/8/2016 16:24 | Posts by hip_4u about my general consensus on the announcement. Will look at this more in detail and comment later. I was hoping to see them squeak into profit so share price reflects this .... still valuation remains spartan to say the least. | fse
30/8/2016 16:01 | Results show everything going in right direction.....next half year will reveal true value of business. | hlp_4u
30/8/2016 12:29 | It's well over 4 years since I last posted in this thread and still think the same way as before. While you shareholders keep the one on the top job ( someone called him " Maron ", there is no money for you, he is only interested in filling his pocket and have control of the company. "Maron" run out of "good" ideas long time ago, and that is why I stop playing with the stock, that is what I was doing short term punts, mainly profitable trades while the company was making profits and increasing sales, but ones that was gone there was not much point in doing so coz the market got notice of that too. I feel sorry for all those old posters that still holding into the shares, with no return on their buying price. I hope there is nothing to do with sentiment of registered country Israel or religion. Cut the losses is the best way to get rid of a stock is not performing and there is no chance of doing so for the moment being Two things I spotted today, loss of $1.5M at Interims , but the cash balance is down by $5M. There was an acquisition for $3.8M but payable over 3 years. The sales are down and that is after the above acquisition, sure something is wrong. BVC reported a higher operating loss and less revenue as a result of less revenue in the pathogenic waste treatment and sterilisation units. | master rsi
30/8/2016 10:37 | And forgot to mention the free float is tiny....the spec st holders are all running this am. Henderson are still buying...own 23%.....and once shares are in hands of MT holders this will motor....for cautious wait for Q3 data....only weeks away.. | hlp_4u
30/8/2016 10:29 | Results confirm business is moving in the right direction....why???F | hlp_4u
30/8/2016 07:18 | Commenting on the results, Dr Zvi Marom, Chief Executive Officer of BATM, said: "We are pleased with the results in the first half as the Group capitalised on the foundations laid in 2015 for a sustainable recovery and growth. Specifically, the Group focused on re-investing in sales and marketing in the Bio-Medical division resulting in it increasing its footprint and gaining a broader customer base, particularly in the Diagnostics unit. For the Networking and Cyber division the focus remained on conducting proof-of-concept trials of our latest software with Tier 1 companies and government agencies whilst maintaining tight cost control resulting in the division returning to profit at the operating level compared with a loss in the equivalent period last year. "Looking ahead, we are excited by the potential positive impact of the investment in our Diagnostics business where we have positioned ourselves to capture a significant portion of the growing Chinese diagnostics market. This, together with the sustained growth in the rest of the Diagnostics business, is expected to result in further revenue growth in the second half of the year. In addition, we expect the Green Lab acquisition to provide access to a larger number of markets for our ecologic solutions in the Pathogenic Waste Treatment and Sterilisation business, which should see increased sales in the second half of the year, as well as continue to boost the Distribution unit. As a result of this, and further expected orders in the Cyber business sustaining the recovery in the Networking and Cyber division, the Board looks to the future with confidence." | james dean
30/8/2016 06:46 | This will open down, look at the continued loss making. Needs to prove itself before confidence returns. | picsous

24/8/2016 21:33 | IHS Report: Most NFV Deployments Start with vCPE Linda Hardesty August 23, 2016 11:33 am PT The vast majority of network functions virtualization (NFV) deployments in the next year will be for enterprise virtual customer premises equipment (vCPE), according to analyst Michael Howard with IHS Markit. Also known as vBranch, vCPE has been growing in importance over the last several years because it allows enterprises to save and to make money. They can replace physical CPEs with software, and then they can quickly innovate and launch new services. According to a recent IHS Markit NFV strategies survey, 100 percent of service provider respondents said they will deploy NFV at some point, with 81 percent expecting to do so by 2017. Moreover, 59 percent of operator respondents have deployed or will deploy NFV this year. The IHS Markit survey results are based on interviews with purchase-decision makers at 27 global service providers. In 2015 and 2016, the top barriers to deploying NFV have been integrating it into existing networks and the lack of carrier-grade products. According to IHS Markit, many carriers in 2016 are moving from their NFV proof-of-concept (PoC) tests and lab investigations to working with vendors on commercial NFV products. When announcing the results of its NFV strategies survey today, IHS Markit didn’t say anything about the kinds of vCPE that enterprises are deploying. However, the SD-WAN market has been going gangbusters as enterprises deploy the technology in their branch offices. That could account for the high deployments of vCPE. | reeltime
23/8/2016 14:16 | August 23rd 2016 Telco Systems will present advanced vCPE NFV solutions at Andicom 2016, which will take place August 31–September 2, 2016 at the Cartagena de Indias Convention Center in Colombia. The company will display the first-in-market vCPE NFV CloudMetro solution, as well as other innovative technologies at booth #39. Visitors can obtain a first-hand impression of the richest VNF library of leading vendors such as Check Point, AudioCodes and Palo Alto Networks, and successful, roadworthy Apps from Cisco, Brocade, Juniper, Silver Peak, Riverbed and Fortinet. | fse
