21/2/2008 18:02 | incredible news is that Nabarro Wells had no insurance of ANY kind, no professional indemnity even. expert advisors (court ordered) proved they were dead wrong in their actions, and both experts agreed, but they refused to settle or negotiate and basically said when BC win they will simply wind it up and leave nothing. its assets are non existant and they used Hichens (their old pals) to arrange a 'phoenix' so they could still do the same thing when they lost. so the hot tip is that BC pulled the pin rather than waste more money on lawyers. and to focus on the business. it is incredible that Nomads can do that - be uninsured, just dump a company off the market and get away with it. after the profit and dividend who know what the shares could have been worth if BC was still listed? seems like the media see a tasty story in this but thats not much joy here. but they seem to be powering in the UK so looks like shares might be worth soemthing - anyone know how OFEX works - could they do that after going off Aim? | johnsmith6
08/2/2008 11:34 | Didnt realise the BRTR was already a teenager.... | davidlloyd

29/1/2008 10:25 | And hope they dont get hammered for stupid legal fees/costs.... | davidlloyd
29/1/2008 10:16 | The case is not dropped but it was removed from website as it is sending out a negative message - think that is fair enough. I don't know if they are too confident about getting a result though ... comment was: 'it is a legal system - not a justice system' we can only hope for the best. | aporterman
25/1/2008 14:49 | Well spotted Wig - will try and find out what it means ... has case been dropped? | aporterman
25/1/2008 09:02 | Seems this has now been taken off the website. 20, Dec 2007 BARTERCARD v NABARRO WELLS: Last Friday Nabarro Wells received an unwanted Christmas Gift from Bartercard UK. The company submitted their complete claim against their former Nomad, Nabarro Wells, for breach of contract. The claim now amounts to more than £4 Million Pounds. Following the widely reported de-listing of Bartercard PLC, the firm (now Bartercard Ltd) is suing their former Nomad, Nabarro Wells for unlawful termination of contract resulting in Bartercard PLC being de-listed from the London Stock Exchange Alternative Investment Market (AIM) in November 2006. 'Bartercard is ready to go to court, so their (Nabarro Wells) atrocious actions against our Company and its shareholders can be brought to account. The Board is extremely confident in our case and intends to pursue this claim to the end.' Says Wayne Sharpe, Bartercard Chairman and Founder. During the year that has passed since Bartercard Ltd left the LSE AIM market, Bartercard has turned its results around from running at an $8millionAUD loss to an outstanding $8millionAUD profit. It has recently come to light that Nabarro Wells has been fined as the first Nomad in the history of AIM for misconduct over actions with other companies prior to their appointment as Nomad for Bartercard. "We look forward to reaching a conclusion that reflects the injustices done against Bartercard" says Wayne Sharpe | wiganer
22/1/2008 13:23 | Nice one Wig ... Well what I did with my dividend was to put straight into Meldex MDX ... got it in @ 54.25p ... a few days before news of possible bid ... I am very hopeful for MDX ... they have been driving PIs nuts for years with their projected great potential - and I think that their time may have come. Of course I also thought the same re. BRTR ... but I am still happy enough there ... if we were not delisted - I think we would be sitting on a decent share price now ... but maybe some nice dividends in the future will make up for that. Good luck to all. | aporterman
21/1/2008 19:44 | Also, amidst all the market turmoil the share price is steady as a rock. :-) | wiganer
21/1/2008 10:50 | Some information on the action being taken against Nabarro Wells from the company website - BRTR suing for more than £4million and Wayne, as expected, is not mincing words.....:-0 DL | davidlloyd

29/12/2007 21:58 | I also hold via TDW and have got the dosh. Which was nice. | wiganer
27/12/2007 12:22 | My shares are held in TD nominee account, and money is IN. So, you should have got it too. | ngen yap
21/12/2007 13:56 | thanks guys will contact my broker as mine are held in a nominee account. I think Wayne is beginning to redeem himself although I still think he needs to tone down his language (see the use of the word "atrocious" in Post 1543 above). One wonders if he has no advisers. | thedustyone
21/12/2007 13:25 | Yep, just got mine this lunchtime - along with a cheery note from Mr Sharpe. Confirmed that heads of agreement for the MBO of Bartercard UK for £5million has been signed - settlement due first half of 2008 and expects a minimum of two new licence slaes next year. 20/12/2007 14:21 | I won't be first ... it has to make it across to Ireland for me ... and then be delivered by Irish pony express ... However - never a dull day with Bartercard ...
